Jessica’s experience

  • About Jessica

We are located in Grand Junction, Colorado; known for the many outdoor beauties that surround the Valley. It allows for many fruit trees to grown (Palisade Peaches) as well as great for vineyards, which means many opportunities to find just the wine you like. Not to mention great for biking, hiking, fishing, hunting, and skiing. It is a great place to live in. Our pups are first-generation English Cream Goldendoodles. Their father is an English Cream Golden Retriever. Our mother dogs are AKC Standard Poodles. Our puppies are also known as Teddy Bear Goldendoodles. This is because their father is an English Cream Golden retriever rather than an American golden retriever. The puppies will be standard in size, ranging from 45 to 80 pounds. They will be great family dogs and have low shedding.

What's included

Enrichment and socialization

Puppies are my full-time job. They get a great deal of attention from me. My husband who is large also gives them a lot of attention so they are not intimidated by men. I also have a five-year-old niece who comes over to play with them, while supervised, to get the puppies used to children as well. I make sure to play with the puppies feet a lot so that does not bother them and also make sure to pet them as they eat so that they will not be food aggressive. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Socialized with Children, Touch Desensitization, and Household Desensitization.

Puppy health practices

We worm our puppies usually at 2,4,6 and 8 weeks. Puppies are not allowed to go to their new homes until they are older than 8 weeks. We usually give the first round of distemper/parvo vaccine when they are about 7.5 weeks old. They also get physically examined by our veterinary and a fecal sample is done to make sure there are no parasites before puppies go to their forever homes.

Extras

Your puppy may come with extra benefits, like a small bag of food or a toy carrying the scent of their littermates. While Grand Valley Goldendoodles hasn’t shared specifics yet, we encourage you to reach out directly to learn what thoughtful extras they may include to help your puppy transition comfortably into their new home.
