Cheryl’s experience

  • About Cheryl

At Gwyndolyns we know how important it is to be able to put your trust in us to make sure your pet is a handsome, healthy, happy herder! Our ultimate goal is to produce athletic and well-structured canines that can excel within various performance venues and have the ability to be the greatest family companions. We love what we do and truly want the very best for our puppies and their forever families.

  • What makes Cheryl’s program special

We believe in producing a whole dog; one that will live a long, healthy life. We health test for the minimum breed requirement i.e; OFA Hips and CAER Eyes. We also DNA test for DM and vWD and we adhere to the PWCCA Code of Ethics. We take great care to learn from the masters; those who came before us and are willing to share their vast knowledge and history of this wonderful breed. Our program is special because of our dogs. Pembroke Welsh Corgis are such a joy, and we find so much fulfillment in raising and preparing them for their loving, forever homes.

What's included

Enrichment and socialization

Puppies are born and raised in our home. Mom and babies are kept separate from the other dogs for mom's peace of mind. As time goes on they are introduced to the other dogs then gradually allowed time outside in the puppy areas. They are taken to the vet at 8 weeks for a health checkup and meet their new families after their first vaccination. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Sound Stimulation, Socialized with Cats, Human Interactions, Outdoors, Household Desensitization, and Socialized with Adult Dogs.

 …
Puppy health practices

All puppies receive age-appropriate deworming up until they leave at a minimum of 10 weeks. They also receive DHPP at 7 and 10 weeks.

Extras

Your puppy may come with extra benefits, like a small bag of food or a toy carrying the scent of their littermates. While Gwyndolyns hasn’t shared specifics yet, we encourage you to reach out directly to learn what thoughtful extras they may include to help your puppy transition comfortably into their new home.

More about Cheryl

  • Why Cheryl started breeding

We purchased our first Pembroke Welsh Corgi "Spock" in 2001. Our next one "Paige" came along in 2002. We moved to our 3.5-acre property in 2003 with a 120+-year-old home "of no value." My husband is a general contractor and together we are making this little house into a beautiful home. Our very first litter was born July 31st, 2004 and that's when Gwyndolyns was established. It has been an absolute joy of a journey, and we are so happy to be able to share these wonderful dogs with other loving families and individuals.
