I'm the breeder behind Howell’s Golden Collies located in Celina, OH. Thank you for visiting Howell’s Golden Collies. We are is a family hobby breeding program. We have enjoyed breeding for about 26 years. I’ve learned so much over the years. We are passionate about Collies and love being able to have them a part of our life. Life is simple better when shared with a Collie.
About Gwen
My family bought 5 acres in the country 28 years ago, and I wanted a country dog. We bought a female collie, and when we went together the lady said, “Would you take both females?” With two small children, we ended up taking both Collie puppies. What a joy. We decided to try raising a litter of puppies. After that first litter, we never have stopped. We love raising the little ones.
What makes Gwen’s program special
I breed for the health of the puppy. I have learned to watch for the genetic health in collies like CEA (their eyes). Our collies are well socialized with people. My grandkids now and other friends all visit to help get puppies used to people and children.
