Getting a puppy from Mickey

Mickey has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies. You'll also have the chance to share a bit about yourself and what you're looking for in a new companion. Together, you'll choose the puppy that's right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices range from $1,000 - $2,400 and include a non-refundable deposit of $100.

“All puppies come with ltd akc reg(spay/neuter contract) ,Vet health check,first shot,wormed 4 times,puppy starter kit,toy,blanket,food.We ask for a reservation fee to be applied to balance to be added to our waiting list. The 100.00 reservation fee is applied to balance of puppy,Collies are 1,000-1,200,Berger Picards are2,400,all puppies sold only with limited reg,Never full akc reg or adults available.”

What's included

Enrichment and socialization

Puppies are started at 3 days old with Early Neurological Stimulation,following Monks of New Skete teaching to ensure happier more rounded puppies,following through with temp test at 7 weeks old. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Socialized in new places, Scent introduction, also have lots of friends and family who come over to handle the puppies and help out with the puppies daily. I do not take them to public places to expose them to people as they are not fully vaccinated until 16 weeks. , Outdoors (when Weather permits), car riding , crate training, Noises , Chew, e.g. Bone, Toys, e.g. Ball, Touch Desensitization, Sound Stimulation, Early Neurological Stimulation, Grooming Desensitization, Household Desensitization, Socialized with Other Animals, Socialized with Adult Dogs, Fetch, grooming , Volhard testing, Three toys for chewing, kongs, nylabones and real bones, We start house training, We start crate training, neural stimulation, Initial House Training, Noise desensitization, Car Training , Human Interactions , Basic manners, Name recognition , "No" Biting or Chewing, Crate Training, and Leash Walking.

We have been raising Collies since 1998,no known genetic defects,our Berger Picards we have imported to ensure healthier better temperament on all puppies.

    Starting in 1998 purchasing our first Collie,decided breed for us,first Collie litter born after 9-11,called first girl Hope members of CCA(2005).In 2006 introduced to Berger Picards,welcoming 2nd breed in 2008,founding/original members of BPCA(2006). As we have improved our breeding program,ensuring health testing and temperaments for both breeds bringing quality to forever families at an affordable price.

  • Mickey’s program includes seven colors

    Mickey’s Berger Picard puppies include fawn and brindle. Mickey’s Collie puppies include sable merle and white, sable and white, black white and tan, white, and blue merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

    Mickey’s Collie puppies have rough coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Standard Veterinary Blood Panel, Canine Good Citizen (CGC)

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
