Meet the breeder

I'm the breeder behind Kaelel Kennels located in Oklahoma. Healthy, well socialized, and confirmatory sound Pomsky puppies are our biggest focus. Our biggest wish is to be on the ground floor for when Pomskies become a breed in their right and become a worldwide family breed.

Miranda’s experience

  • About Miranda

I’ve been breeding Pomskies since 2015 with the goal of creating an incredibly healthy, well socialized, beautiful liver Miniature Huskies. Our whole family helps in raising our pups in our home, and my preschooler loves his babies. My overall goal is to see Pomskies become a recognized breed in their right, and I would love to be on the ground floor to see it happen.

  • What makes Miranda’s program special

We take health testing and temperament very seriously, and want to provide your family with a new member that not only fits in well, but will for many many years. I also specialize in creating liver colored Pomskies. They’re brown/red/chocolate colored, and it’s a specific recessive gene to create that coloring. They are also the only color to carry green and amber colored eyes.

What's included

Enrichment and socialization

We usually only have one litter at a time, maybe two a few weeks apart. Our whole downstairs area of our home is dedicated to them. Our puppy area is in our living room so puppies are exposed to normal human activities (cleaning, washer & dryer, vacuum noise, dishes, TV sound). We also handle them daily to get them desensitized to having their whole body touched by me or by my child (belly, paws, ears for cleaning, teeth brushed, coat brushed, laid on their back, etc). I utilize the following enrichment methods: Potty Training, "No" Biting or Chewing, Crate Training, Sit Command, Socialized with Children, Socialized with Adult Dogs, Socialized with Other Animals, Socialized with Elderly, Household Desensitization, Sound Stimulation, Grooming Desensitization, Early Neurological Stimulation, Touch Desensitization, and Toys, e.g. Ball.

 …
Puppy health practices

All veterinary care is done by our licensed vet where I live, Renegar Animal Hospital. I purchase our wormer from them and dose our puppies at 2, 4, 6, & 8 weeks with Strongid. I also purchase mini bottles to send home with buyers and instruct them to continue working until 24 weeks of age. Puppies receive first of three puppy shots while in my care at 6 weeks (and second at 9 weeks if still in my care) and are microchipped to me at 8 weeks before they leave. All puppies receive a USDA health certificate at 8 weeks before they go home as well.

 …
Extras

We send our puppies home with Breed Club Registration, Certificate of Health, Food Starter Bag, Puppy Starter Kit, Microchip, Vaccinations, and Blanket with Littermates' and Mom's scents.

More about Miranda

  • Why Miranda started breeding

I took a mentorship under another Pomsky breeder that also had 20+ years of experience in breeding Huskies, and after nearly two years of planning, I had my first litter. I had been wanting to get into Pomskies for quite some time due to my love of the Husky breed, and wanting that amazing Husky beauty to be more accessible to more families that might not get a full Husky.
