I'm the breeder behind Kagee Border Collies located in Oroville, CA. We care deeply about Border Collies and have built that love and respect for the breed into every aspect of our program. We enjoy showing our dogs, and they are our companions in every adventure. We are invested in Border Collies and in helping the breed thrive. We do all that we can to give our puppies the best lives, including proper health care, thorough socialization, and finding them each a wonderful and loving home.
About Katie
I've been showing dogs for over 20 years and pride myself on my experience, knowledge, and reputation in the breed. I routinely travel to other countries and locations to watch other border collie shows, and have established long standing friendships with people abroad, valuing the type and genetics from other countries we can use in our program. Our dogs enjoy almost 18 acres of country life and train and compete in a variety of dog sports.
What makes Katie’s program special
My focus is to create the best quality dog possible and match puppies into homes where they will be empowered to be the best they can be, rather than "selling puppies". As their breeder, I am their voice, so will always look out for the best interests of my puppies. I

Why Katie started breeding
Ever since I was a young child, I loved dogs! On one of my many trips to the bookstore with my dad to look at the dog books on the shelf, I spotted one about showing dogs. I quickly worked towards getting my first show dog, and the rest is history. Naturally, while showing and competing with dogs, you gain interest in breeding and helping produce the next generation of wonderful dogs to be loved.
