I'm the breeder behind Kamikaze Akitas located in Cuba, MO. Kamikaze Akitas is a small Akita kennel in Cuba, Missouri, one hour west of St. Louis, MO. We have show Akitas from top Akita bloodlines. We are members of the Akita Club of America and the Rolla Missouri Kennel Club. We're named after Kamikaze-Go, the first Akita brought to the US by Helen Keller.
About David
Having both been raised on farms, we have both been lifelong animal lovers. Though we have experienced different kinds of animals, we have always had large dogs. David grew up with Great Pyrenees. Brandy had her first Akita dog, Teddy, at the age of 10 and first litter of Labs at 16. David works as a Production Manager for Royal Canin and Brandy is a librarian, allowing summer off for dog care.
What makes David’s program special
We show our Akitas ourselves and invest in grooming, training and socializing. Our dogs are often seen with us on outings outside of dog shows to places like the Shakespeare Festival, Forest Park in St. Louis, our local Jimmy Johns, kennel club meetings, festivals, Petco and many other locations. We care about our dogs beyond the show ring as valued companions.

About CH. Brutus
We didn’t expect to keep a male puppy from Brutus’s litter, but after seeing him stacked in the yard one day, we knew he had to stay. Not only does Brutus have strong conformation, but beautiful type in his head and bone. Combined with his friendly and outgoing disposition, Brutus regularly wins fans both inside and outside the ring. Brutus completed his AKC Championship, owner-handled, the weekend he turned eight months old. Towards this accomplishment, he won three majors at large, competitive shows against older dogs and handlers. We are proud of Brutus and have hopes for his career as a special once he matures more.
