I'm the breeder behind Kate's Country Canines located in Francisco, IN. We take pride in raising healthy Bernese Mountain Dogs with wonderful temperaments. After a decade of doing this we have made many wonderful friends along the way. We cherish those friendships. We feel blessed to be doing what we love and bringing joy to others lives through Bernese!

About Teresa
We are Located in rural South-Western IN. Our puppies are hand raised by Steve, and myself. We take great pride in raising healthy Bernese babies with wonderful temperaments. They are well socialized and are familiarized with many sights and sounds. There's a play yard outside for them to spend part of their time getting familiar with the outdoors.
What makes Teresa’s program special
From the moment these babies are born we are working towards one goal. That is to bring you a very happy, healthy, well adjusted member of your family. My life has been changed and blessed by Berners. I want that for your life. The transition for this puppy to your home should be a smooth one because of all the things it experiences here. If not, I feel that I have failed. These babies are it!

Getting a puppy from Teresa
Teresa has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies. You'll also have the chance to share a bit about yourself and what you're looking for in a new companion. Together, you'll choose the puppy that's right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices range from $2,000 - $2,500 and include a non-refundable deposit of $500.
“To place a hold on a puppy until it's ready to go home, we require a $500 deposit. That can be made through paypal, zelle, or Walmart to Walmart. Cash is expected on pickup of puppy. I require a $500 deposit at the time of reserving a puppy for you.”
Contract and health guarantee
Teresa may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. What's included
Enrichment and socialization
Our puppies are handled often and exposed to new people coming and going. They are trained to use puppy pads and doggie doors when weather permets. We try to start the sit and down commands early. They are exposed to other household pets, such as cats and a bunny. We also have goats and cows. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Socialized in new places, Socialized with children, Introduced to people of different ages and appearances, Socialized with other dogs, Daily handling, Scent introduction, Surface & tactile stimulation, Car rides, Various sounds, Sit Command, Down Command, Potty Training, Socialized with Other Animals, Socialized with Children, Socialized with Adult Dogs, Sound Stimulation, Household Desensitization, Grooming Desensitization, Touch Desensitization, Toys, e.g. Ball, Chew, e.g. Bone, Scents, Structures, e.g. Climbing, Socialized with Cats, Socialized with Elderly, and Early Neurological Stimulation.
Puppy health practices
They will be up to date on their vaccinations and be dewormed.

We send our puppies home with Initial potty training, Toys, Food & treats, Vet records, Registration, Blanket with mom & littermates’ scent, Blanket with Littermates Scent, Puppy Leash, Puppy Collar, Food Starter Bag, and Vaccinations.

If you’re nearby, you can visit in person to pick up your pup. If you’re far away, you can travel by car or plane.

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
