I'm the breeder behind Ladybug Chihuahuas located in Brooklyn, CT. My dogs are my beloved fur kids. I care deeply about this breed and am proud to be responsible Chihuahua breeder. Chihuahuas are my passion, and i can't imagine spending my life without them. I am dedicated towards achieving excellence and healthy family pets, and i love to raise puppies and prepare them for their forever homes.

I am a retired veterinary technician. I was in the field for 36 years. I am currently a dog behavior therapist.
What makes Kimberly’s program special
I start early neurological stimulation and then puppy preschool, which is a continuation of behavioral training and socialization. I have had great success with this training. My puppies are raised in my home and are snuggled and loved so much.

Puppy prices range from $2,500 and include a non-refundable deposit of $500.
“The price includes the health guarantee, deworming, first vaccination and microchip. All of my puppies at the same price regardless of sex or color. The deposit is only refundable if the puppy becomes unfit for purchase.”

I start early neurological stimulation at three days old. As the puppies grow they are handled and they are subjected to all types of enrichment toys. toys that move toys, toys that sound funny and different texture toys. This is to prepare them for their lives at home and for their trips to the vet. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Being raised inside a home environment with constant children and adult socialization , socialized with people wearing hats and now masks, exposure to agility tunnel, wobble board and other novel items, Texture stimulation, Noise desensitized , Various Surfaces , Fireworks , Noises , Strangers, Structures, e.g. Climbing, Chew, e.g. Bone, Toys, e.g. Ball, Touch Desensitization, Early Neurological Stimulation, Grooming Desensitization, Household Desensitization, Sound Stimulation, Socialized with Adult Dogs, Socialized with Cats, Socialized with Children, We start potty training at 3 weeks! They are handled daily from birth and are raised around our dogs, cats and family members. They are also handled by young kids (4-7). We intrudce them to household sounds and textures, such as washer, dryer, vaccum, tv, different flooring. We also play loud sounds for them such as thunder, fireworks, sirens, etc. They also get their nails trimmed. We start them on crate training and regonizing their name! , Appropriate agility obstacles, Touch, pets, and kisses are encouraged during human socialization., Body handling protocol, including sitting still for grooming, grooming , Early socialization, ENS, surface and tactile stimulation, Noise desensitization, Basic manners, Behavioral shaping , Potty training, crate training, pee pad training, Human Interactions , Name recognition , "No" Biting or Chewing, and Potty Training.
All puppies are dewormed several times, they are vaccinated before they leave and they go to the vet for a physical and health certificate.
We send our puppies home with Our puppies are all sent home with welcome home bags and information. , Blanket with Littermates' and Mom's scents, Early Neurological Stimulation, Vaccinations, Toy with Mom's Scent, Sound and texture enrichment, Toy with Littermates' Scent, Microchip, Food Starter Bag, and Certificate of Health.

Why Kimberly started breeding
After retiring I lost my mom. My first chihuahua Howard saved my life. He never left my side and got me through my darkest days. I knew then that I wanted to help other people like me with this amazing breed.
