When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies. You'll also have the chance to share a bit about yourself and what you're looking for in a new companion. Together, you'll choose the puppy that's right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Puppy prices range from $1,200 - $1,500 and include a non-refundable deposit of $400.
“All puppies come with a one-year health guarantee and contract, tails docked, dew claws removed, worm treatment, and 6-week vaccinations. A $400 non-refundable initial payment is due with this signed contract to hold the puppy of your choice. This initial payment will be deducted from the total due and is a binding contract asking that we hold the chosen puppy for you and by doing so we turn down other interested families. You can transfer that initial payment to another puppy in the same litter.”
Salley may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Salley offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don’t hesitate to reach out to Salley directly.
For the first 5 weeks, our puppies have interaction with just mom dog and our immediate family. We begin potty training on a mat at 4 weeks. Our puppies are played with every day after 5 weeks of age, including recess several times a day. At 6 weeks, we introduce other people during playtime and begin to expand the puppies' experience outside the home and on the farm. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Introduced to people of different ages and appearances, Daily handling, Scent introduction, Surface & tactile stimulation, Car rides, Various sounds, Chew, e.g. Bone, Structures, e.g. Climbing, Touch Desensitization, Grooming Desensitization, Outdoors (when Weather permits), Socialized with Other Animals, Socialized with Adult Dogs, Socialized with Children, Potty training in good weather., Pee pad, Human Interactions , Noise desensitization, and "No" Biting or Chewing.
All puppies are vaccinated, given appropriate worm prevention, and are health screened by a veterinarian.
We send our puppies home with Puppy starter kit, Basic obedience & manners, Initial potty training, Food & treats, Vet records, Registration, Blanket with mom & littermates’ scent, Dew claws removed, Vaccinations, Food Starter Bag, Certificate of Health, Breed Club Registration, and Blanket with Littermates Scent.
Salley offers options to help you easily get your new puppy home.
If you’re nearby, you can visit in person to pick up your pup. If you’re far away, you can travel by car or plane.
“We don't ship our puppies, but we are happy for you to come to our home to pick them up, or we are willing to meet within a 2-hour drive.”
We’ll meet at a mutually convenient halfway point to drop off your puppy. Once your application is approved, we’ll coordinate the details for your pick-up day together.
Why Salley started breeding
We are a family who has had Miniature Australian Shepherds for years. In 2020, we moved to a farm in SC that has allowed us the space we need to breed high-quality MAS. We focus on ASDR registration because we think the MAS is the perfect dog for small farms and homesteads, that want a child-friendly guard dog that can also work to protect small homesteads from predators.
Salley has been a member of Good Dog for about 1 year
Salley was screened for responsible practices and has been a member since 2024.
