What makes Moonrise’s program special
We breed for quality, not quantity. All breeding stock are/will be health tested prior to being bred. All puppies come with a guarantee (details in contract). Please request a contract, and we will email you one.
Our puppies will be well adjusted to home life, started on puppy pads, handled daily, started on different textured surfaces and sounds. I utilize the following enrichment methods: "No" Biting or Chewing, Confidence building, eye contact, and general initial potty training., Different Textures, Early socialization, Started on puppy pad training, Adult and children socializing , Texture Stimulation, positive experiences in all situations, Puppy Culture , Noises , Scents, Various Surfaces , Toys, e.g. Ball, Touch Desensitization, Household Desensitization, Sound Stimulation, and Socialized with Children.
All puppies are vaccinated and dewormed regularly, all medical care is from a licensed veterinarian. Parents are health tested; puppies cleared by parentage.
We send our puppies home with Welcome Home bag, Sound and texture enrichment, Our puppies are all sent home with welcome home bags and information. , Vaccinations, Microchip, Copy of Health Guarantee Agreement, Copy of signed Purchase Agreement, Binder with puppy’s medical information , Toy with Mom's Scent, Toy with Littermates' Scent, and Food Starter Bag.

Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA), Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
