I'm the breeder behind Nothing better than Standard poodles located in Elk, WA. We strive to make sure that our puppies are the kind of dog we want to have ourselves. We love the variety of colors that poodles can come in and we have partis, phantoms, brindles and solids, in a variety of colors. We hope that each of our puppies will be a beloved member of their family.

I have 5 beautiful children, and a good, hard working husband. we love to go to the lake and ride horses and do 4H. Our dogs are a huge part of our lives and we like to learn as much as we can at 4H and and at home.

Puppy prices range from $2,000 - $2,500 and include a deposit of $300.
“all puppies come with a 2.5 year genetic guarantee, microchips, vet checks, shots and worming. they are also groomed weekly and sent home with a great puppy pack. we are willing to travel a few hours to meet you. Deposits show your commitment to me, refund depends on individual situations.”

Our puppies are born and raised in our loving and noisy home. we do ENS and ESI and the kids have a huge part in raising them! I utilize the following enrichment methods: Socialized with Adult Dogs, car riding , Outdoors, e.g. rain, Strangers, Toys, e.g. Ball, Touch Desensitization, Early Neurological Stimulation, Socialized with Children, Beginning Grooming, Beginning potty training , neural stimulation, Scent Introduction, Car Training , and Sit Command.
all of our puppies are dewormed every 2 weeks, they are vet checked before going home and are microchipped.
We send our puppies home with volhard puppy aptitude testing, Puppy package, Microchipped , Early Neurological Stimulation, Vaccinations, Toy with Littermates' Scent, Puppy Starter Kit, Puppy Leash, Puppy Collar, Microchip, Food Starter Bag, Certificate of Health, Blanket with Mom's Scent, and AKC Registration.

Why Marla started breeding
I got my first poodle because my husband is allergic to most dogs, and I wouldn't go back. when I was growing up my parents had Goldens and I was blessed to have my own that I trained and raised and then raised her puppies. I have always loved purebred dogs.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA), Sebaceous Adenitis (SA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
