I'm the breeder behind Olci's Basset Hounds located in Warrensburg, MO. We care deeply about this breed and love their lazy demeanor, friendly disposition, & even stubborn streak. We are proud to be responsible Basset breeders & find joy in watching our puppies grow and develop their own unique personalities.

All of our bassets live together and with us. Our current breeding girls are all "homegrown" out of our retired boy and retired moms so we know our lines personally and well. Our dogs are truly our family.

Getting a puppy from Blaire
Blaire has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies. You'll also have the chance to share a bit about yourself and what you're looking for in a new companion. Together, you'll choose the puppy that's right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices range from $1,550 and include a deposit of $300.
“High % Euro. Morris is our only boy and is 100% European. He is champion sired. AKC pedigrees of parents are provided. AKC papers with puppy can be discussed. Parents are also ACA, APRI, & IABR registered as these are the registries we attend shows. Puppies will be current on shots, dewormings, and are microchipped. . Non-refundable unless something happens to puppy while in my care or vet check finds something not previously disclosed. Will move deposit to next litter if circumstances why are discussed.”

Blaire may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. What's included
Enrichment and socialization
Puppies are handled from birth. They are exposed to normal, sometimes chaotic family life with lots of noises, children, dogs, and cats. We begin litter training by 4 weeks of age & introduce bells as we begin to go outside for playtime after 1st shots. However we still highly encourage researching the stubborn streak of the basset breed as they take consistency & patience to train. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Introduced to people of different ages and appearances, Socialized with other animals, Socialized with other dogs, Daily handling, Socialized with children, Surface & tactile stimulation, Various sounds, Outdoors (when Weather permits), Puppy Culture , Noise desensitized , Various Surfaces , Noises , Toys, e.g. Ball, Touch Desensitization, Sound Stimulation, Household Desensitization, Socialized with Other Animals, Socialized with Adult Dogs, Socialized with Cats, Socialized with Children, We litter train our puppies by 4 weeks which makes crate training very easy., Bell Training, Early socialization, Human Interactions , Puppy Culture , and Basic manners.
Puppy health practices
Puppies have been dewormed regularly, are current on shots, & are microchipped.

We send our puppies home with Toys, Food & treats, Microchip, Puppy Collar, Microchipped , Toy with Mom's Scent, Toy with Littermates' Scent, Sound and texture enrichment, Blanket with Littermates' and Mom's scents, Vaccinations, and Food Starter Bag.
Bringing your puppy home
Blaire offers options to help you easily get your new puppy home.
Pick up your puppy in Warrensburg, MO or nearby
If you’re nearby, you can visit in person to pick up your pup. If you’re far away, you can travel by car or plane.
“We will meet in Kansas City or within hour of Warrensburg, Missouri. We are often willing to travel further if travel cost are covered (gas/hotel if necessary). Can ship via cargo, typically $525. ”
Get your puppy dropped off to you
Work with a trusted flight nanny or transporter to get your puppy comfortably dropped off at an airport or meeting point close to home.

Why Blaire started breeding
Raised in Germany on military housing my parents never let me have a dog. I would walk all the dogs in my neighborhood & my favorite was a beagle. I got a job as a vet tech in my 20s & met a basset for the first time & fell absolutely in love with the "better beagle". After owning my first I wanted to continue to better the breed, show, and share all of their wonderful qualities with others.

Blaire’s Basset Hound puppies include red and white, brown black and white, black white and tan, and black white and brown. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

About Jane
Jane is my teenage son's support pal. She has a wonderful, silly disameanor. She may be our most seasoned howler... but only if it's dark outside & she is opposed to how long it's been since she was let out... surely, she's been forgotten. She loves all other animals, from ferrets, guinea pigs, tortoises, cats, and other dogs. She also loves walks and greeting all the people. She is my biggest trooper, never wanting to be put in the wagon. She'll chug along until the end. She was also my fastest at being housebroken (we use the bell method and she uses a dog door when it's open, so these also helped).
