I'm the breeder behind Owl Hollow Farm Miniature Dachshunds located in Waynesboro, TN. At Owl Hollow Farm all of our dogs are beloved, family members. They're big dogs in a little package & full of personality We health test all our breeding dogs to ensure that we're not passing on any genetic defects.

    My husband is a life long Tennessean and I'm a transplant from south-east Missouri. I moved here four years ago when I met my husband. We live on 90+ acers in mid-south Tennessee. We have a small vineyard and we raise chickens, pigs and most of our own food. And most importantly, we love raising our dachshunds. We are so fortunate to be living the kind of life that we love.

Getting a puppy from Donna

Donna has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies. You'll also have the chance to share a bit about yourself and what you're looking for in a new companion. Together, you'll choose the puppy that's right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices range from $2,250 - $2,450 and include a non-refundable deposit of $350.

“Price includes $ 350 depois, AKC pet registration, vacations, deworming, health record, puppy food & treats, a blanket & toy with mom & litter mates sent on it and a start on potty & crate training. Puppies are $2250 - $2450 with a $350, non-refundable deposit. Puppies come with AKC pet registeration. Full AKC registeration, with pre-approval, is an additional $500.”

What's included

Enrichment and socialization

Our puppies are handled daily and socialized with a variety of people & other dogs. We also work on desensitization to sounds. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Introduced to people of different ages and appearances, Scent introduction, grooming , Noise desensitization, Potty pads,, Human Interactions , Crate Training, and Potty Training.

Puppy health practices

Puppies recieve a vet exam, first shot, and deworming every two weeks, before going to their new home.

Extras

We send our puppies home with Blanket with mom & littermates’ scent and Microchip.

Bringing your puppy home

Donna offers options to help you easily get your new puppy home.

Pick up your puppy in Waynesboro, TN or nearby

If you’re nearby, you can visit in person to pick up your pup. If you’re far away, you can travel by car or plane.

Get your puppy dropped off to you

We’ll meet at a mutually convenient halfway point to drop off your puppy. Once your application is approved, we’ll coordinate the details for your pick-up day together.

    I got my first dachshund twenty years ago and I fell in love with the breed. After our rescue beagle passed away, we decided that our house was to empty. We decided to start breeding the dogs that we loved most. The most loyal, loving, comical dogs ever. The dachshund.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • DNA Disease Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
