I'm the breeder behind Rafter O Mini and Toy Aussies located in Nocona, TX. I have owned Australian Shepherds for thirty years. We started breeding Mini Aussies in 2002 and showing Toys in 2017. Our Aussies are the absolute greatest family dogs! They are so smart, so loyal, and so loving. We strive to breed trainable Aussies that are capable of doing the things they were meant to do.
About Tracy
I am an avid dog and horse lover. For a little over 30 years, I have been a flight attendant and barrel race as often as I can. My husband and I have two boys and enjoy the country life. We have always had dogs. The Australian Shepherd is the breed we love as a family.
What makes Tracy’s program special
Our dogs are very loved and spoiled just a little. They go to the Iake with us, ride on the boat and the jet ski. I often take one or two dogs with me on the road to barrel races. We are a small breeding program so it makes it easier for us to be hands-on with the dogs.

Tracy has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies. You'll also have the chance to share a bit about yourself and what you're looking for in a new companion. Together, you'll choose the puppy that's right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Puppy prices range from $1,200 - $2,500 and include a non-refundable deposit of $300.
“The price includes a $300 deposit. Sex, color, breeding rights and eye color determine the final price. Deposits are excepted if you would like to pick a puppy out early and have us hold it until they are ready to go home. We do understand that life happens and in some cases, we do refund deposits or let the deposit be used on another puppy.”
Tracy may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Tracy offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don’t hesitate to reach out to Tracy directly.
All the puppies are able to come and go out of a doggie door so they see a lot of activity. Puppies love to watch and be curious at the same time. A few of our older dogs like to play fetch. Our goal is to make sure each puppy gets plenty of playtime each day. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Car rides, Surface & tactile stimulation, Socialized with other animals, Various sounds, Daily handling, Toys, e.g. Ball, Household Desensitization, and Outdoors, e.g. rain.
All puppies will have tails and declaws removed at 2-4 days old. We deworm every 2 weeks and all puppies are up to date on shots when they leave us.
We send our puppies home with Initial potty training, Puppy starter kit, Microchip, and Registration.
Tracy offers options to help you easily get your new puppy home.
If you’re nearby, you can visit in person to pick up your pup. If you’re far away, you can travel by car or plane.
Work with a trusted flight nanny or transporter to get your puppy comfortably dropped off at an airport or meeting point close to home.
Why Tracy started breeding
I saw my first Mini Aussie in 2000 and fell in love! We finally got our first one in 2002. The one I got had already been shown and I really did not think anything of it. We started her in agility, but then we moved and had no place to keep training. When I kept a puppy back from her, I had officially started my breeding program.

About Rip
Rip is a Toy Aussie with a Standard Aussie package in every way, good bone, and a beautiful head. I jokingly told my husband one night that my next male dog was gonna be called Rip. When a friend had a Yellowstone litter the Blue Merle just happened to be Rip and the rest is history. I got him and immediately entered our first show in Kentucky. So to show a puppy they have to be at least 3 months of age. He turned 3 months on Wednesday and I showed him on Saturday. He was the 2020 Bourbon Trail Barkdown Champion at 3 months old. He was just recently the 2021 Reserve Champion Barking on the Bayou Best of Bred under two judges at 9 months old. Rip has continued to finish out his show career with his Elite Grand Championship and occasionally he gets to go back in the show ring to do his thing.

About Sheridan
Sheridan is a 13 1/3" Grand Elite Champion. We love this girl and all her smartness. We jokingly laugh about how smart she is and how she figures things out quicker than other dogs. She is very loyal and loves to go with us on the road. You may find her at a barrel race with me, on the jetski or rolling down the windows to stick her head out.
