I'm the breeder behind Reynolds Farms Cavaliers located in Lincoln, AL. My puppies are hand raised in my home. They are part of the family and are loved constantly while they are with us. They are AKC, DNA and OFA tested to have the best possible temperament and health. We want to make sure we are doing our part to only breed healthy and happy dogs for loving homes.     I am a mother of 5 and grandmother of 4. I kept newborn babies over the past 14 years. My husband, George, a retired Army Colonel, and I hand raise these puppies in our home. We are transparent and prefer speaking to our future families rather than texting. We love our dogs like family; look forward to helping you welcome your puppy into yours.   • What makes Kate’s program special

    I am passionate about Cavaliers and feel that hand-raised puppies in my home, who are involved with our daily life; the sounds of vacuums, TV, talking, the smell of cooking, cleaning, being rocked, held, and sang to as well as the love and care; I put into health tested, well adjusted and socialized puppies. We also use a program called Puppy Culture for proper socialization. I require a phone conversation with all future puppy parents in order to move forward with application process. We also send our puppies home with Trupanion Health insurance.

Getting a puppy from Kate

Kate has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies. You'll also have the chance to share a bit about yourself and what you're looking for in a new companion. Together, you'll choose the puppy that's right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices range from $3,000 - $4,000 and include a non-refundable deposit of $500.

“The price includes AKC limited registration, first shots, worming, socialization, beginning potty training, and a one-year health guarantee from a life-threatening genetic defect. We use a program called Puppy Culture to enrich and train them from birth. So you are assured of a healthy, well-adjusted, and socialized puppy. A $500 deposit once the puppies are born and doing well. The payment go towards the purchase price of the puppy.”

What's included

Enrichment and socialization

The puppies are raised in our home. We use a program called Puppy Culture. It is a comprehensive system based on development and socialization starting on the third day of life. We will introduce them to people, sounds, simulations, games, toys, and they will be held a lot. Our puppies' health and wellbeing are paramount to us. We will begin potty training, and crate training so the transition to your home is seamless. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Being raised inside a home environment with constant children and adult socialization , Human contact from birth, and on daily basis, Socializing the dog with everything is the key to a stable dog, Select friends and family, household pets, television, radio, appliances, scenarios in home for confidence building. , Clicker training, Early Neurological Stimulation, puppy play area with multiple types of stimulating equipment, Puppies are handled from birth. As they age, they will be introduced to cats, other dogs, children, other adults, and other sights and sounds. We also work with them on basic manners and commands. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Basic Obedience Commands, Sound Stimulation, Socialized with Adult Dogs, Socialized with Children, Socialized with Other Animals, Potty training, crate training, Crate Training, Potty pads,, Basic manners, We introduce collar and leash training., Nail Trimming, Shown lots of love, We practice Puppy Culture, a program that conditions your puppy with early neurological stimulation and socializing techniques that reduce stress and fear for the development of a healthy, happy puppy, Potty Training, Crate Training, and "No" Biting or Chewing.

Puppy health practices

All of our puppies will have had comprehensive examinations done by our licensed veterinarian. They have had their first set of shots and wormed. It is the responsibility of the owner to keep up with the puppy exams. We recommend every two-three weeks until your puppy is 19 weeks old. We very much want to stay in touch with our new families as they grow.

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • Brucellosis

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
