Getting a puppy from Susan

Susan has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies. You'll also have the chance to share a bit about yourself and what you're looking for in a new companion. Together, you'll choose the puppy that's right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices range from $2,500 - $2,800 and include a deposit of $300.

“Guarantee normal Eyes at time of sale,, VWd DNA Clear/Normal, MDR1 Clear/Normal, DMS Very Low or Low Risk and general health for 72hrs. Dog will have been wormed, at least 2-3 shots, micro-chipped, heart and health checked and CERF Eye exam. Full refund if no pups are the preferred sex that you want. Non-refundable if you just change your mind or find another puppy.”

What's included

Enrichment and socialization

My puppies sleep in the den where al the activity ad sounds are. They move to larger quarters right off the den around 6 weeks of age. They get so much attention and lots of love. They are usually litter box trained by 7-8 weeks of age. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Various Surfaces , Sound Stimulation, Socialized with Adult Dogs, and Household Desensitization.

Puppy health practices

My pups get at least 3 wormings, 3-4 shots, a heart check, health check, eye exam, and a microchip.

Extras

We send our puppies home with AKC Registration.

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Dentition

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • OFA/CHIC DNA Repository, Dermatomyositis, von Willebrand Disease III (vWD III), Shetland Sheepdog Type, Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
