What's included

Enrichment and socialization

All puppies are snuggled, played with and dearly loved daily. If you have named the puppy, the puppy will be familiarized with their name. They will begin to learn basic commands like "come here", "give kisses", "shake","stay", "no", and "drop it". Dachshunds are notoriously stubborn so crate training makes potty control something that they /want/ to do and is very much encouraged. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Socialized with humans only after use of sanitizer and wearing clothing not worn around other dogs for health safety, Protected from all other dogs for health safety, Daily individual snuggle sessions, Socialized with adult Dachshunds, Outside playtime weather permitting, Individual and litter play time, Extensive love and attention, stay, We begin potty training along with crate training & believe the two go hand in hand., shake, drop it, daily individual time, Start of house breaking and socializing , Scent Introduction, "No" Biting or Chewing, Name recognition , and Potty Training.

Puppy health practices

All puppies are vaccinated, vet checked, given one topical treatment of flea & tick preventative if season warrants (i.e. in Spring, Summer or early Autumn but not in late Autumn or Winter) & diligently protected from exposure to outside dogs to prevent any infection. Puppies are only handled by outside humans who have been thoroughly sanitized. Puppies are never exposed to the general public.

Extras

We send our puppies home with Blanket with Littermates Scent, Blanket with Mom's Scent, and AKC Registration.
