I'm the breeder behind Shepherd's Run Aussies and Poodles located in Palmyra, VA. My husband and I strive to breed quality puppies that become family members. Being a life long animal person I strive to breed healthy and well temperament pups so they can become important family members. Life is short and I feel like surrounding yourself with your dog makes the most of your time.
About Sarah
Our kennel is nestled in a small country town. We have a little hobby farm, and our animals are super important to us. We don’t breed many dogs so we can put focus, time, and care into each individual puppy. For 6 years I worked at a pet boutique/ grooming salon and use that experience on my desensitization puppy program.
What makes Sarah’s program special
My husband and I are unable to have children so most of our time is dedicated towards our little farm. We treat our animals as if they are our children and nurture our pups to the best of our abilities.

With us having a hobby farm there’s always lots of noises and coming and going. Even though we do not have children, we have many friends that bring their children over to help socialize and interact with them. I start them on potty training however, I do like any potential buyers to know with any new environment that is introduced to a puppy sometimes there will be a regression of the training. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Various sounds, Socialized with other dogs, Surface & tactile stimulation, Socialized with other animals, Introduced to people of different ages and appearances, Daily handling, Socialized with children, Car rides, We introduce collar and leash training, Noise desensitization, Car Training , Cat interaction , children, socialization with farm animals , grooming , Basic manners, Crate Training, "No" Biting or Chewing, and Potty Training.
All puppies have had age-appropriate shots and worming schedule. They will also be vet checked before I give them clearance to leave to their new home. I will require a vet check within a week of them going to their new home for any guarantees to be valid.
We send our puppies home with Registration, Toys, Food & treats, Basic obedience & manners, Vet records, and Initial potty training.
Sarah offers options to help you easily get your new puppy home.
If you’re nearby, you can visit in person to pick up your pup. If you’re far away, you can travel by car or plane.
