I'm the breeder behind Sigma Alaskan Malamutes located in Indianapolis, IN. Sigma Kennels is a small hobbyist kennel. We are dedicated to the preservation and presentation of this wonderful breed.
About Stephanie
I graduated from Indiana University in 2011 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology. I decided to purchase my first malamute in 2009 and have been actively showing in confirmation since 2013. I have shown my and others animals to a number of wins including best in specialty show, group wins, and a number of group placements. I am a member in good standing of our national breed club the Alaskan Malamute Club of America, the Alaskan Malamute Club of Canada, and more locally the Great Lakes Alaskan Malamute Club.
What makes Stephanie’s program special
I have spent over 10 years working with this breed learning what it is to breed a quality Malamute, knowing that both phenotype and genotype affect the outcome of what is produced. I've studied the structure of animals of varying ages, watched how they mature and learned the patterns different bloodlines follow.

Puppies are handled daily from the time of birth to promote imprinting and over time exposed to a number of different stimuli to promote a well-rounded animal. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Socialized with other animals, Socialized with other dogs, Daily handling, Scent introduction, Surface & tactile stimulation, Car rides, Various sounds, Litter Box Trained, Indoor and outdoor play; physical and mental stimulation , Imprinting, Early socialization, Noise desensitization, ENS, Puppy Culture , Leash Walking, Socialized with Adult Dogs, Socialized with Cats, Touch Desensitization, Toys, e.g. Ball, Grooming Desensitization, Strangers, Outdoors (when Weather permits), and Noise desensitized .
We follow Jean Dodd’s delayed vaccination protocol. Puppies receive their first set of vaccinations, are microchipped, and dewormed several times prior to going to their new homes.
We send our puppies home with Toys, Food & treats, Vet records, Microchip, and Registration.
Stephanie offers options to help you easily get your new puppy home.
If you’re nearby, you can visit in person to pick up your pup. If you’re far away, you can travel by car or plane.
“We prefer for the family to pick up their puppies in person so that we can go over the contract and stipulations at that time.”
