I'm the breeder behind Stonegate Labradoodles located in Highland, NY. Our goal is to create family dogs that could also be suited as therapy dogs. Our dogs are also successfully placed with families with dog allergies. Our dogs are raised indoors in my own home and are raised as family pets first. No kennels and they stay for life. They are my babies after all!
About Kristen
I used to raise and show Champion AKC Labradors. I put American & Canadian AKC Show Championship titles on my best stud as well as AKC Hunting Title. Jammer aka Am/Can Ch. Surry's Wish You Were Here, JH was the best dog I've ever had. I also put a Championship title on another stud who went on to great things. I retired from that. I’m now focusing on bringing the same standards to my Labradoodles.
What makes Kristen’s program special
I test my dogs for everything through OFA and DNA. We believe that our dogs must have all official health clearances. We also do Puppy Culture and ENS which helps in raising dogs with good temperaments that can be therapy dogs. It's very important to me that we create the best family dogs possible.

Kristen has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies. You'll also have the chance to share a bit about yourself and what you're looking for in a new companion. Together, you'll choose the puppy that's right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Puppy prices range from $3,000 and include a refundable deposit of $500.
“All of our puppies are the same price regardless of size, color and gender. They come with shots, microchipped and a health guarantee.”
Kristen may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Kristen offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don’t hesitate to reach out to Kristen directly.
We use Puppy Culture and ENS for socialization and temperament. We provide challenges that teach them about noises, touch and help them get used to the everyday home life sounds. They are used to a pen and a crate which will help them in their new homes. They also are taught to go in their litter which helps them get housebroken quickly in their new homes. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Potty Training, Crate Training, "No" Biting or Chewing, Socialized with Cats, Socialized with Adult Dogs, Household Desensitization, Early Neurological Stimulation, Toys, e.g. Ball, Chew, e.g. Bone, Structures, e.g. Climbing, Scents, Touch Desensitization, and Sound Stimulation.
We deworm them from 2 weeks of age and give age-appropriate vaccines starting at 8 weeks old. Once picked up, they are cleared by a vet and they are ready to go.
We send our puppies home with Microchip, Puppy Collar, Puppy Starter Kit, and Vaccinations.
Kristen offers options to help you easily get your new puppy home.
If you’re nearby, you can visit in person to pick up your pup. If you’re far away, you can travel by car or plane.
“We don't ship our puppies sight unseen since we like to meet our buyers in person. We want to ensure that our buyers are the best owners our babies will have. It's the only way I can sleep at night.”
Why Kristen started breeding
I love Labradors. I have had them for many, many years. But I was growing older and I was tired of their heavy shedding. I wanted big dogs again, but couldn’t decide on a new breed, other than Labradors. But then through research, I found out about Labradoodles and fell in love. They are great family dogs who don't shed like Labradors. That is the start of my breeding career.
