I'm the breeder behind Upstate Standards located in New York. We treat our dogs and puppies like family, and we give each pup all the loving care that we can to prepare them for their forever homes. We are proud of our program and look forward to helping you find your next furry family member!
About Pamela
I am a mom to 5 amazing kids. My one son and I have terrible allergies to almost all dogs but thankfully we are not allergic to the amazing breed of poodles.
What makes Pamela’s program special
Our puppies are raised in our home with our 5 children and other dogs. They are handled from birth, raised with early neurological stimulation, raised in our home and therefore exposed to everyday noises and sounds and come from health tested parents.
Pamela has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies. You'll also have the chance to share a bit about yourself and what you're looking for in a new companion. Together, you'll choose the puppy that's right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Puppy prices range from $1,800 - $2,000 and include a non-refundable deposit of $200.
Pamela may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Pamela offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don’t hesitate to reach out to Pamela directly.
Our puppies are exposed to everyday noises (tv, vacuum, radio etc), as well as grooming beginning at 4 weeks old. My children all help with this so puppies are used to being handled by people of all ages. They also get love and attention from anyone who visits us while the puppies are still with us.
Puppies have a well checkup with the vet sometime before 8 weeks old. They are dewormed at weeks 2,3,4 with Nemex-2 and weeks 6 & 8 with Fenbendazole while still in our care. They also receive their first round of puppy vaccines at 7-8 weeks old just before they leave.
Your puppy may come with extra benefits, like a small bag of food or a toy carrying the scent of their littermates. While Upstate Standards hasn’t shared specifics yet, we encourage you to reach out directly to learn what thoughtful extras they may include to help your puppy transition comfortably into their new home.
Pamela offers options to help you easily get your new puppy home.
If you’re nearby, you can visit in person to pick up your pup. If you’re far away, you can travel by car or plane.
“We don’t ship our puppies but you are welcome to come to our home or I will meet you at my local airport.”
Why Pamela started breeding
My grandparents used to breed toy poodles so I have been around them my entire life. When I got my first standard poodle I absolutely fell in love with the intelligence and temperament of the larger poodles. She is the most amazing dog I have ever owned or met.
Pamela has been a member of Good Dog for over 2 years
Pamela was screened for responsible practices and has been a member since 2022.
Pamela’s program has one size
Pamela’s Poodle puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary by litter based on the parent dogs.

DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
