I'm the breeder behind Wasatch Mountain Vizslas located in Draper, UT. I strive to maintain the Vizsla breed standard by raising structurally sound and correct puppies with excellent temperaments. I love being a breeder. It's so fulfilling to see the positive effect that a beloved, furry companion can have on his or her family.

My program is built upon a foundation of love, admiration, and respect for the Vizsla. I strive to produce outstanding puppies that are structurally sound, healthy, intuitive and have wonderful temperaments.

What's included

Enrichment and socialization

I do everything I can to socialize my puppies. I want them to be easily trainable and have a smooth transition to their new home. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Sound Stimulation, Early Neurological Stimulation, Car Rides, Puppy Culture, Basic Obedience Commands, Human Interactions, Puppy Temperament Evalulation, Stairs, Puppy Culture, Bird Introduction, Puppy Manners, Clicker Training, Crate Training, and Leash Walking.

Puppy health practices

All puppies receive their first vaccination and a health check by our vet before going to their new homes.

Extras

We send our puppies home with Microchip, Blanket with Littermates' and Mom's scents, Volhard Personality Test, Vaccinations, Toy with Littermates' Scent, Food Starter Bag, Certificate of Health, Breed Club Registration, and AKC Registration.

If you’re nearby, you can visit in person to pick up your pup. If you’re far away, you can travel by car or plane.

  • Why Judy started breeding

    My love for Vizslas inspired me to share this breed with the world in a responsible way. I devote my time, energy, and attention to each litter to ensure puppies get the best start in life. I play an active role in various clubs, both locally and nationally, and am always researching ways to improve my program and my Vizsla lines.

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • DNA Profile, OFA/CHIC DNA Repository

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
