I'm the breeder behind Wendy Stover located in Guthrie, OK. I breed my whippets in hope of providing a loving forever home for a family to enjoy. I breed not only for health but for mental health as well. I take this journey seriously in finding loving homes for my pups.

About Wendy
I have shown horses and rodeo since 1977 so have been a very competitive person in every aspect of my life. I enjoy the outdoors and I enjoy my life with my dogs horses and my longhorn steer. All my animals are socialized together. Hoping to start Dock Diving with Stoli this year to watch the athleticism of this breed. I am semi retired and looking forward to more fun with this breed!
What makes Wendy’s program special
…My puppies are born in my home in a very loving environment. The puppies have total stimulation almost 24 hours a day from my other dogs, cat and many outdoor adventures. When they are of age to go outside they are exposed to horses and all elements of the outdoors. I am constantly reading up on breeding practices because you could never learn too much. It is also nice to have made good friends with some of the breeders to exchange ideas. I’m thankful to know where all my puppies are and I have made wonderful friends along the way. I am thankful they are all in loving homes! Where they should be!

Wendy has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. Together, you'll choose the puppy that's right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices range from $1,300 and include a refundable deposit of $300.

What's included
Enrichment and socialization
I teach the puppies the word no, sit and stay. They will be doggie door trained and potty box trained And kennel trained. I try to expose them to many people that come to my house and of course they will be exposed to sight of horses, a cat and a longhorn steer and many outdoor adventures. I also have my friends to come over to help me socialize them. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Introduced to people of different ages and appearances, Socialized with other dogs, Daily handling, Socialized in new places, Socialized with children, Surface & tactile stimulation, Car rides, Various sounds, Socialized with other animals, We begin potty training along with crate training & believe the two go hand in hand., Litter Box Trained, Dog door, Car Training , Puppy Manners, Sit Command, Potty training, crate training, Crate Training, Leash Walking, And showed lots of love, Socialized with Other Animals, car riding , Toys, e.g. Ball, and Socialized with Adult Dogs.
Puppy health practices
All Puppies will be up-to-date on shots and worming. They will have a health Guarantee before leaving for their forever home.

We send our puppies home with Puppy starter kit, Toys, Food & treats, Registration, Blanket with mom & littermates’ scent, Vet records, Basic obedience & manners, Initial potty training, Certificate of Health, Our puppies are all sent home with welcome home bags and information. , Vaccinations, Puppy Collar, Blanket with Littermates Scent, and AKC Registration.
Bringing your puppy home

Pick up your puppy in Guthrie, OK or nearby
If you’re nearby, you can visit in person to pick up your pup. If you’re far away, you can travel by car or plane.
Get your puppy dropped off to you
Work with a trusted flight nanny or transporter to get your puppy comfortably dropped off at an airport or meeting point close to home.

Why Wendy started breeding
I learned my love for Whippets from Carol Rose, Through her she showed me the elegance and gracefulness of the Whippet. After purchasing a Whippet I realized how many of my friends wanted one so I started breeding for companion animals and now for competition as well.
Wendy has been a member of Good Dog for almost 3 years
Wendy was screened for responsible practices and has been a member since 2022.
Wendy’s program includes three colors
Wendy’s Whippet puppies include red brindle, fawn brindle, and black brindle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
