I'm the breeder behind Westies of NC Highlands located in Asheville, NC. Raised in a loving home, these puppies are very socialized and well-adjusted. They are used to being held, loved and played with. With Champion parents, we strive for the best qualities in a Westie. Personalities are key, but also their appearance, coat and health are top quality. Previous buyers have stated these are the best Westies they have ever owned. Numerous Veterinarians remark on how good these dogs are!
About Sissel
I am a physician who loves Westies and their puppies. I use the profits from my puppy sales to help with various projects around the world.
What makes Sissel’s program special
This is a home project. I am not a kennel. The puppies are treasured and cared for in an unusually dedicated fashion. We start potty training immediately when they can walk and also kennel training when they are emotionally ready. They are used to playing with adult dogs and different temperaments. They have had exposure to many different people who help to care for them.

They travel in kennels in the car several times a week and go to visit various friends and homes. They are trained to interact with nice dogs and not so nice dogs. They are kennel trained and also use pee pads. They are also trained to potty outside, but this is not perfected. They are learning to come. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Scent introduction, Various sounds, Socialized in new places, Car rides, Surface & tactile stimulation, Introduced to people of different ages and appearances, Socialized with other dogs, Daily handling, Socialized with children, Puppy Culture , Potty Training, and Crate Training.

About Lady
Lady is one of the sweetest dogs I have owned. She is super responsive and talks to me to let me know her needs. She became a Grand Champion very rapidly and was the "talk of the town." Her puppies (this is her fourth litter) have blessed many homes and have done very well. One of her sons from last year is already a Champion.

About Bella Joy
Bella Joy is alert and happy. Many call her "Joy" because she is so joyful. She plays well with all the other dogs and is very loving and affectionate with people.
