I'm the breeder behind Willowood-Sandale Dachshunds located in Columbus, NC. I'm an in-home hobby breeder. I focus on conformation and companions with health, soundness, and temperament as the utmost importance! I have many years of experience breeding, and I love sharing my knowledge with others! I am dedicated to preparing my puppies to thrive as their best selves, and I strive for quality and excellence with everything that I do.
About Dale Suzanne
About 10 years ago, I got my 1st Standard Wire Dachshund, after breeding Great Danes for 50 plus years. I love to show, but I love that all my dogs are companions first. I am retired now and have more time to dedicate to raising great dogs with even greater temperaments!
What makes Dale Suzanne’s program special
I'm a strong and passionate advocate of proper breeding practices and run my program accordingly. I concentrate on health and temperament while breeding to the standard. In the years that I have bred on a limited basis because I worked, I developed a line of long-lived dogs that are recognizable all over the world!

Dale Suzanne has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies. You'll also have the chance to share a bit about yourself and what you're looking for in a new companion. Together, you'll choose the puppy that's right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Puppy prices range from $2,000 - $2,400.
“The price includes AKC paperwork and first vaccinations and 2nd vaccinations. I will not ask for a deposit until a final decision is made by both of us as to whether there is a puppy available. I do not sell a puppy without meeting or speaking to the potential puppy buyer. It is most important that I know the puppy is going to a loving , forever home.”
Dale Suzanne may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Dale Suzanne offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don’t hesitate to reach out to Dale Suzanne directly.
My pups are raised in my home. In the late Spring through the Fall, they spend most of their day on the covered back deck enjoying our friends, visitors, and their toys and activity sets! I utilize the following enrichment methods: Socialized with Adult Dogs, Early socialization, Pee pad, and Crate Training.
Puppies are vaccinated and dewormed before they leave for new homes. I always recommend the new owners take their pup to their vet for a check-up and any additional vaccine(s) they need.
We send our puppies home with Welcome Home bag, Vaccinations, Toy with Littermates' Scent, Food Starter Bag, and AKC Registration.
Dale Suzanne offers options to help you easily get your new puppy home.
If you’re nearby, you can visit in person to pick up your pup. If you’re far away, you can travel by car or plane.
“You are welcome to come to our home and meet your puppy. Actually we prefer it ! ”
Work with a trusted transporter to get your puppy comfortably dropped off at a meeting point close to home.
