I'm the breeder behind Arco Shepherds located in Cedar City, UT. Our German Shepherds are direct imports out of lines filled with outstanding dogs. They have been bred to be stable, loving, protective members of the family. We are committed to only providing puppies that improve the breed and will be healthy and stable their whole lives. Our dogs are our pride!

About Taylor
We have had German Shepherds our whole lives and have loved the breed. When my husband and I got married, we purchased our stud with the dream of starting our program with only the best lines. We have poured time and love into our dogs, and they are our family first. We have spent years searching for the perfect pair to start our program and are now beginning this step with my mentor's support.
What makes Taylor’s program special
We have direct import, purebred, and fully health tested dogs. We are working on titles and making sure they meet their full potential, as is the responsibility of owners of this wonderful breed. Our dogs have deep rich pigment and outstanding temperaments that catch the eye and affection of anyone they come across! They are completely stable in any situation and stunning to boot. Getting a puppy from Taylor
Taylor has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies. You'll also have the chance to share a bit about yourself and what you're looking for in a new companion. Together, you'll choose the puppy that's right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices range from $2,000 - $2,500 and include a non-refundable deposit of $500.
“The price varies only depending on whether the buyer wants limited or full registration. Full registration can be purchased later as well, pending the health tests of a puppy at 24 months old. Our deposit is refundable to transfer to a future litter only if we cannot provide a puppy as agreed upon signing.”
Contract and health guarantee
Taylor may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Taylor offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don’t hesitate to reach out to Taylor directly.
What's included
Enrichment and socialization
Our puppies are socialized with our children and rabbits that we have on-site. They will have plenty of visitors and activities to boost their development. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), Car Rides, Various People, Human Interactions, Pupp Pads, Basic Obedience Commands, Kennel Training, Touch Desensitization, Household Desensitization, Grooming Desensitization, Sound Stimulation, Socialized with Elderly, Socialized with Other Animals, Socialized with Adult Dogs, Socialized with Children, Crate Training, "No" Biting or Chewing, Basic manners, Potty training, crate training, Sit Command, Leash Walking, and Potty Training.
Puppy health practices
All puppies will be dewormed, have their first shots, and be cleared by the vet before going to their new homes.
Extras
We send our puppies home with Puppy Starter Kit, Food Starter Bag, Certificate of Health, Vaccinations, Blanket with Mom's Scent, and AKC Registration.

Taylor offers options to help you easily get your new puppy home.
Pick up your puppy in Cedar City, UT or nearby
If you’re nearby, you can visit in person to pick up your pup. If you’re far away, you can travel by car or plane.
Get your puppy dropped off to you
Work with a trusted transporter to get your puppy comfortably dropped off at a meeting point close to home.

Why Taylor started breeding
Our family has bred Belgian Malinois, German Shepherds, and Golden Retrievers our entire lives. We have always had dogs, and they make us the happiest to surround us. We have made connections with fantastic mentors and breeders that have helped and encourage us to be ethical, responsible, and educated in our passion. My husband and I both have had multiple litters and have found so much joy in raising pups. We can't wait to share them with the rest of the dog community!

Kalla is a very dark pigmented, medium drive lovebug. She loves to play and is quick to respond to training and quick to want to cuddle. She is our sport dog prospect and loves nothing more than to please her handler and is sweet to a fault.
Maverick, dad

About Maverick
Maverick is a direct import from Poland with all of the desired traits of the breed. He is stable in any environment, centered and alert. He is protective without a hint of aggression or fear. He loves to be around his people and his drive is stable but his off switch is fantastic. He loves to relax with his family and play with a soccer ball.

Ossy is a female German Shepherd. Carefully selected as a great representative of her breed, Taylor decided to make her part of their program. Taylor has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.

Parent health testing

Great level
Arco Shepherds reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for German Shepherds.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
