I'm the breeder behind Irresistible Dachshunds located in Richmond, VA. We are a small in-home program that breeds Dachshunds with great disposition temperament and health tested for diseases and genetic disorders. We pride ourselves and giving our families a wonderful forever pets. We offer two different coats longhair and wirehair dachshunds.

About Irresistible
I am stay at home housewife that has two amazing wonderful kids. And I recently have a new grandchild to spoil. I am home 24/7 my dogs are never left alone very long each day only to go to the grocery store or out to eat. I would say I have a lot of love for the animals, since my two kids are grown up this has fulfilled my life in more ways than I ever knew.
What makes Irresistible’s program special
I feel that my breeding program is special because I treat my dogs like my kids they are spoiled never left outside or caged up for long hours at a time. They can run around the house or play outside and have a wonderful life like a dog should be treated.

Getting a puppy from Irresistible
Irresistible has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies. You'll also have the chance to share a bit about yourself and what you're looking for in a new companion. Together, you'll choose the puppy that's right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices range from $1,000 - $3,000 and include a non-refundable deposit of $400.
“I'm the breeder behind Irresistible Dachshunds located in Virginia. All of my moms and dads are my family. I have a limited amount in my program making it to where I can maintain a healthy relationship with each one of my dogs. My moms and dads are never crated unless for a good reason. They have their freedom and live a great dog life where I spoil them. They can run, play, swim all day in a fenced in yard only for their safety. I take them on frequent boat rides during the summer months. All the precious babies are raised inside my home in with no restrictions. There they grow up inside my home with my kids and family watching t.v. or just laying around on the couch. My pups are never crated and have plenty of room in their play pen to explore, play and most importantly have a designated area to potty. At 3 weeks old I start working with them on doing their business on pee pads and by the time they are ready to leave me they have training down pretty well if not perfect making potty training in their new homes a much better. I am with my babies 24/7 as they get a little older I introduce them to several different fruits and veggies that are safe for dogs. Getting them in the habit very young with eating healthy snacks when they are older to offer healthy snacks in between meals. Everyone of my pups are dewormed regularly starting at 2 weeks of age. When they leave me they do so with a Veterinarian health certificate issued by my vet. They are declared healthy, parasite free and up to date on vaccines. I do have a health guarantee/sales contract. After you have reserved your baby I send frequent updates via text or messenger with pictures and videos so you can watch them grow throughout the 8 weeks they are with me. I only ask that you return this favor to me throughout your baby's lifetime and send me updates with pictures so my heart can be filled knowing that they are loved very much and living a great life. When the puppies are ready to leave I send home puppy goody bags of the food, health record/paperwork, collar, leash, brush, water & food bowl, several new toys, and much more. I am always happy to hear from you at anytime with questions or concerns you might have through your baby's lifetime. I am always happy to help in anyway I can. These are my baby's and I love them unconditionally from the minute they are born. If any life changes are to arise making it not possible for you to care for your baby he/she is ALWAYS welcome back. I will never judge or frown upon anyone that is suddenly unable to give their baby the life they deserve and I will take any of my babies back with open arms, no questions asked. There is a $500 deposit fee it’s nonrefundable.”

What's included
Enrichment and socialization
Our puppies live in our home environment with my family and small kids. They play with every us every single day where we give lots of attention so when they go home they are well adjusted to people and other animals. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Introduced to people of different ages and appearances, Daily handling, Socialized with other dogs, Socialized with children, Car rides, Various sounds, Tunnel, Human Interactions, Various People, children, Potty Pad Training, Pee Pad Intro, Human Interactions , Name recognition , and Potty Training.
Puppy health practices
All the puppies are taken to the veterinarian to be checked out before they leave no exceptions. I will receive a veterinarian health report that would be given to the new puppy parents.

We send our puppies home with Blanket with mom & littermates’ scent, Initial potty training, Toys, Food & treats, Vet records, Vaccinations, Toy with Mom's Scent, Welcome Home bag, Dew claws removed, Puppy Starter Kit, Food Starter Bag, and Certificate of Health.

Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Brucellosis
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
