Meet the breeder

I'm Ariel K., the breeder behind ABK Bulldogges located in Hawarden, IA. As a former Veterinary Technician, we strive to breed exemplary Olde English Bulldogges that are well taken care of from day one and are prepared to excel in loving and caring homes. We love our dogs and puppies, and we strive to place each pup in a home suited to their temperament and ability. We responsibly breed for sound structure, health, and temperament. We don't breed for color and we definitely don't breed English Bulldogs. This breed makes for great family dogs, weight-pulling, hiking, and guard dogs.

Q. & A. with Ariel

  • Why did you start breeding?

I fell in love with breeding working for a reproductive veterinarian. I met a lot of good breeders and bad breeders. This made me want to set out to be a GREAT breeder. Since I was a little girl I have been in love with English Bulldogs. The only problem with breeding English Bulldogs is all their health issues. I wanted to find something with the same personality but healthier. So i began researching and came across the Olde English Bulldogge. After getting my first one (Gemma) I was instanting in love! They are everything I was looking for! They have the goofy, and stubborn personailty of an English Bulldog without the health issues. The are also very versatile, they are athletic, they do great with hot and cold weather, and will love just being couch potatos with you.
  • What makes your program special?

My breeding program requires all my dogs to be at least two years old before breeding. They must pass all of their health testing and temperament testing to stay in the program.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include brown brindle, black and white, red brindle, red, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Our family received Tater (formerly Blue) from Ariel with ABK Bulldogges! Tater is a wonderful pup! When we picked him up, he was fully potty-trained at a young age! He’s also very loving and smart! If anyone is considering a Bulldogge, I would highly recommend Ariel and ABK Bulldogges. Ariel is great with communicating with you, updating you with pictures of your pup, and following up with you after the purchase!
