I'm the breeder behind Adams Acres Cattle Dogs located in Gretna, VA. Our dogs and pups enjoy farm life at its best. We adore each and every one of our dogs and give them the best lives possible! They are socialized with other dogs, chickens, horses, and barn cats, along with our grandkids. We have done health testing on parents and pups will get vet checked at 6 weeks.

Getting a puppy from Sheila
Sheila has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies. You'll also have the chance to share a bit about yourself and what you're looking for in a new companion. Together, you'll choose the puppy that's right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices range from $1,000 - $1,500 and include a non-refundable deposit of $250.
“This price includes a vet check with shots from Cherrystone Veterinary Hospital, the best in our area. Tails will be docked on breeds that this is desired such as Australian Shepherds. Deposits are a two-way street as they bind and protect both buyer and seller.”
Contract and health guarantee
Sheila may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. What's included
Enrichment and socialization
Our puppies are well adjusted to a farm environment including other animals and children. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Introduced to people of different ages and appearances, Various sounds, Socialized with other animals, Socialized with other dogs, Daily handling, Socialized with children, also have lots of friends and family who come over to handle the puppies and help out with the puppies daily. I do not take them to public places to expose them to people as they are not fully vaccinated until 16 weeks. , Outdoors (when Weather permits), Outdoors, e.g. rain, Noises , Touch Desensitization, Socialized with Other Animals, Socialized with Cats, Sound Stimulation, Socialized with Adult Dogs, Socialized with Children, Human Interactions , Basic manners, Noise desensitization, Name recognition , and Early socialization.
Puppy health practices
All puppies will be vet checked, dewormed, and will be started on hard food.
Extras
We send our puppies home with Registration, Initial potty training, Toys, Puppy starter kit, Vet records, Food & treats, Blanket with mom & littermates’ scent, Basic obedience & manners, Our puppies are all sent home with welcome home bags and information. , Food Starter Bag, Puppy Starter Kit, and AKC Registration.
Bringing your puppy home
Sheila offers options to help you easily get your new puppy home.
Pick up your puppy in Gretna, VA or nearby
If you’re nearby, you can visit in person to pick up your pup. If you’re far away, you can travel by car or plane.
“We don't offer shipping at this time but you are welcome to come to the farm and meet the parents or we can meet you in Lynchburg, Danville, or possibly Roanoke VA.”
Get your puppy dropped off to you
We’ll meet at a mutually convenient halfway point to drop off your puppy. Once your application is approved, we’ll coordinate the details for your pick-up day together.
