I'm the breeder behind Akin's Miniature Dachshunds, LLC located in Belle Rive, IL. We’re a small-scale program with a big love of Miniature Dachshund! Our dogs are our passion, and we enjoy spreading the love of Dachshunds with other individuals and families by responsibly breeding our incredible dogs. We breed with a focus on health and pedigree, in order to produce the best quality dogs that we can.

Getting a puppy from Hannah
Hannah has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies. You'll also have the chance to share a bit about yourself and what you're looking for in a new companion. Together, you'll choose the puppy that's right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices range from $1,800 - $3,500.
“The price includes AKC registration, first vaccination, worming, microchip, first dose of flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and vet wellness exam.”

Hannah may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. What's included
Enrichment and socialization
Our puppies are well adjusted to a home environment and socialized with children and other dogs. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Car rides, Socialized with other animals, Socialized with other dogs, Introduced to people of different ages and appearances, Daily handling, Scent introduction, Socialized with children, and Various sounds.
Puppy health practices
All puppies have first shots, will be wormed, will be started on first dose of flea/tick/heartworm prevention, will be microchipped, and will have vet check before going home.

We send our puppies home with Initial potty training, Blanket with mom & littermates’ scent, Registration, Microchip, Vet records, Food & treats, Puppy starter kit, Toys, Blanket with Mom's Scent, Toy with Littermates' Scent, AKC Registration, Food Starter Bag, Vaccinations, Puppy Collar, and Puppy Starter Kit.
Bringing your puppy home

Pick up your puppy in Belle Rive, IL or nearby
If you’re nearby, you can visit in person to pick up your pup. If you’re far away, you can travel by car or plane.

Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
