Meet the breeder

I'm Natalia O., the breeder behind Bea’s Dackel Haüs located in Imperial, MO. Here at Bea’s Dackel Haüs we have a small program with big personalities. Breeding genetically healthy and well rounded puppies is my number one priority. I'd be honored to help you and your family find the perfect beloved companion.

Q. & A. with Natalia

  • Why did you start breeding?

I've always been highly interested in animals in general. Dogs in particular have always played a big role in my life as highly loved and important members of my family. Doxies have always been a breed I admired and loved; naturally, I wanted to get involved in breeding healthy dogs and contributing to the breed's preservation.
  • What makes your program special?

Our dogs are loved as if they were our own children. At B.D.H. we are highly committed to breeding genetically stable dogs that help preserve the breed, as well as improve the general dog population's genetic health. We've fostered dogs from shelters and rescue programs before; therefore, we are very conscious of how many dogs are out there that have many health issues due to multiple reasons in both purebreds and mixed breeds. We are passionate about our program and the work we do here. We truly want the best for each of our dogs/puppies and their furever families. 🐾
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include red, brindle, black and tan, chocolate and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Natalia was helpful and knowledgeable through the process. She was great at answering questions and helping me learn more about Chuckie before I took him home. Even after he got home to us, she continues to offer support with any concerns or questions. When you work with her, you will see how much she cares about each of her puppies/dogs and how invested she is in continuing to support the best way possible for this breed.

Natalia could not have been more informative and helpful through our adoption of Phillip! She is so knowledgeable about the breed and gave us so many helpful resources for food, toys, vet visits, and several other items we might not have thought of. She was super responsive and still is very helpful whenever we have any questions or are wanting advice about our new pup. Could not recommend her more! If you're looking for a new little member of your family, look no further.

Dogs have always been a part of my life, so when searching for a puppy I wanted one who would live a long, healthy life, and thrive in my home. It was important to me to choose a breeder with the highest ethical standards. I found that at Bea’s Dackel Haus. The application process was thorough, educational, and backed up by research. Upon interview, Natalia was a wealth of information and helped me pick the perfect puppy to add to my family. Natalia was very accommodating with pick-up arrangements and told me everything I would need to make air travel seamless. When I received my new puppy Angelica, Natalia had organized a notebook with all health information on the parents, vaccine records, microchip, AKC information, as well as a puppy pack. Once home, I thought about changing Angelica’s name but realized she truly is an angel. She is super smart, well mannered, and has a beautiful temperament. At eleven weeks old, Angelica knows how to go on her potty pads, or outside, comes when called, and has learned to sit. She is also agreeable to brushing and nail trimming. Behavior like this does not just happen, it is a testament to Natalia’s breeding program and the care she puts into each puppy. Working with Natalia has been nothing short of wonderful. I feel blessed to raise one of her babies, and comforted knowing that I can contact her anytime to share a story or ask a question. If you are looking for an exceptional puppy, it is with great pleasure that I can recommend Bea’s Dackel Haus.

We recently picked up Tommy, 9 months old, from Natalia. The entire process with Natalia was seamless and she is very knowledgeable about the breed. After losing our last dog quite young, I knew our next dog had to come from a knowledgeable, ethical breeder. We found exactly that in Natalia. She put all my fears at ease by providing ample proof of proper health and DNA testing for her parent dogs. Tommy is such a sweet boy and has immediately stole our hearts. He’s quickly adjusting to our home and is showing that Natalia did a great job training him (crate training, potty training, etc.) Natalia also provided an amazing puppy pack for Tommy when we picked him up which included food, a blanket with littermates’ scents, and all the health records for Tommy and his parents. The love Natalia has for her dogs is obvious. Anyone looking for their next long-dog companion, look no further than Natalia.

Our family’s experience with Bea’s Dackel Haus has been wonderful. We wanted to find a breeder who was educated on the health of dachshunds, meticulous about the health and temperament of her pups and the dogs she is using to breed, and loved her dogs as if they’d always be her own. Natalia is that breeder. She’s thoughtful, communicative, and so helpful. We got the chance to virtually meet her litter and the mom and dad of our sweet girl. This was important for us to be able to see that the mom and dad were healthy and taken good care of, and to see the space was a clean and healthy environment. Also, it was helpful to see our puppy’s temperament and her parents’ temperament. We picked up our puppy at the airport, and Natalia was on time, and gave us a go home bag with treats, a blanket with her siblings scent, and a folder containing the entire health history of both of our puppy’s parents, microchip, and our puppy’s health records to date. Our sweet Margot Lilly has exceeded our expectations! We’ve had her home for a few weeks now, and had her vet checked within the weekend of bringing her home. She’s healthy, has the sweetest temperament, and is just adorable!
