I'm the breeder behind Bedtime Story Australian Shepherds located in Silverdale, PA. Our dogs are bred for health, temperament, and intelligence. We strive to produce the best overall pets and family members. We commit ourselves towards preparing each one of our puppies to thrive in their new homes, and we enjoy working with their new families so that they can raise their beloved companions with confidence!

    All puppies are raised in our home which means they are used to living inside with the hustle and bustle. Puppy Culture is at the core of my program! All puppies will have health certificate, vaccinations as per Vet instructions. ENS and desensitizing to sounds, house training is 85-95% . Temperament and healthily are top priority! 30 days of free insurance.

Getting a puppy from Lil

Lil has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies. You'll also have the chance to share a bit about yourself and what you're looking for in a new companion. Together, you'll choose the puppy that's right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices range from $2,000 - $3,000 and include a non-refundable deposit of $500.

“The price includes Puppy Culture training(name you choose when you reserve)sit, and start of house training. 30 day pet insurance, health certificate, microchip and 1st vaccines. Also puppy starter pack. Deposit after X-ray (50 days) confirms puppy count and will place you in order of picking sequence (color & sex).”

What's included

Enrichment and socialization

Puppy Culture is the center of puppies training with Neurological stimulation started at 2 days old. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Various sounds, Car rides, Surface & tactile stimulation, Socialized with children, Socialized in new places, Scent introduction, Introduced to people of different ages and appearances, Socialized with other dogs, Daily handling, All our puppies are exposed to new sights, sounds, smells, surfaces, big dogs, small dogs, adults and children and get regular indoor and outdoor exercise and mental stimulation., Select friends and family, household pets, television, radio, appliances, scenarios in home for confidence building. , And showed lots of love, start of puppy recall with treats, Exploring items and obstacles such as an umbrella, crutches, a walker. , neighbors who come by , Children and other pets, Texture stimulation, also have lots of friends and family who come over to handle the puppies and help out with the puppies daily. I do not take them to public places to expose them to people as they are not fully vaccinated until 16 weeks. , Puppy Culture , Noise desensitized , Structures, e.g. Climbing, Toys, e.g. Ball, Touch Desensitization, Early Neurological Stimulation, Grooming Desensitization, Household Desensitization, Socialized with Adult Dogs, Socialized with Children, Weekly Nail Trims , Trupanion , Stairs and Obstacles, socialization with other dogs, Confidence building, problem solving, eye contact, We use Puppy Culture and ENS training when raising our puppies., We begin basic recall and manding techniques so your puppy will understand the bond with the human, Well socialized puppy that a family can take and enjoy their new family member in their adventures , daily individual time, Body handling protocol, including sitting still for grooming, Grooming and Nail Care, Confidence building, eye contact, and general initial potty training., Noise desensitization, We train them to sit and wait for a treat, We start house training, Early socialization, Litter Box Trained, Human Interactions , Impulse Control, Puppy Manners, Puppy Culture , Name recognition , Sit Command, "No" Biting or Chewing, Leash Walking, and Potty Training.

Puppy health practices

All puppies are Health checked, 1st vaccination and fecal tested. Deworming is preformed as per veterinarian instructions.

Bringing your puppy home

Pick up your puppy in Silverdale, PA or nearby

If you’re nearby, you can visit in person to pick up your pup. If you’re far away, you can travel by car or plane.

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
