Certified Breeder of Border Terriers

Meet the breeder

I'm the breeder behind Bellwether Borders located in Smyrna, GA. We're passionate about raising well-rounded pups who will excel in any venue with their new families. We take pride in our pups. Our dogs are bred to produce healthy, sound, and versatile pups. Our ultimate goal is to produce athletic and well-structured canines that can excel within various outlets and have the ability to be the greatest family companions.

Q. & A. with Ginger

  • Why did you start breeding?

I'm a third-generation dog breeder coming from working, herding, sporting, and terrier breeds. As that, I appear to be a breed that is going extinct. There are still a few of us oldies who breed with an eye toward tomorrow and the future, hoping for and expecting the best outcome from our efforts.
  • What makes your program special?

The Border Terrier, my current breed, is the all 'round dog for those who enjoy an active, able animal capable of participating in all recognized dog sports, but is happy to be a companionable, entertaining house dog that enjoys quieter moments, also. We strive to produce healthy, intelligent puppies able to integrate comfortably into a variety of age groups, households, and lifestyles.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.
