I'm the breeder behind BenderDachs located in Hardin, MT. We raise our dogs with love, in our home. We practice Early Neurologic Stimulation exercises with the newborns, and provide puppies with life experiences so they will be better adjusted when transitioning to your home. We breed healthy, happy puppies that will bring you years of unconditional love.
Q. & A. with Elizabeth
Why did you start breeding?
I fell in love with the breed in 1999, when I met a friend's piebald dachshund named Rip. I had never been a dog person, but when I met Rip, I was hooked on the breed! I started studying the breed and made friends with breeders to have them mentor me. Our first litter was born April 1, 2002.
What makes your program special?
We are high quality breeders in Montana. We do full genetic testing on our dogs, as well as checking our dog's hearts and patellas. We make breeding choices based on each dogs weakness and strengths in conformation & temperament. We study pedigrees and bloodlines, and choose quality and health when adding new dogs into our lines. We strive to produce happy healthy dachshunds for lucky families!
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include cream and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
