Monica S.

Certified Breeder of Border Collies

Meet the breeder

I'm the breeder behind Bent Creek Border Collies located in St. Clair, MO. Although my dogs come from working bloodlines, they produce stable minded sport puppies as well. Several trainers have puppies who are now their demo dogs. A few are even famous!

Q. & A. with Monica

  • Why did you start breeding?

Prior to having Border Collies I had Australian shepherds. A friend of mine had a border collie that I fell in love with so when I have the opportunity to obtain a border collie I did. I learned about health testing including DNA testing for inheritable diseases, OFA testing of hips, elbows, patellas, eyes and even shoulders. I have added that to my program. I have raised some very successful puppies in the SportDog world a few that have titled in herding
  • What makes your program special?

We are dedicated to finding loving and caring homes for each of our puppies. We screen all potential buyers and look to find a good fit for both the buyer and the puppy.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
