Q. & A. with Dakota
Why did you start breeding?
I got involved in the sport of confirmation dog shows and then started breeding to move on with the next generation.
What makes your program special?
I only breed dogs that can contribute something positive to the breed of Havanese. I do not breed just to produce puppies. I am a preservation breeder who breeds to improve Havanese. I strive to breed for perfection and breed to produce my next generation of show dogs. Whether my puppies go to show or pet homes my breeding standards are the same.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black and white, black, red sable, red brindle, fawn sable, chocolate sable, chocolate brindle, black and tan, black and silver brindle, silver sable, and gold sable. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
