I'm the breeder behind Bertke AKC Golden Retrievers and Bernese Mountain Dogs located in New Weston, OH. We are a hobby breeder of AKC registered Golden Retrievers and Bernese Mountain Dogs with a focus on the health, temperament and well-being of the puppies.

  • What makes your program special?

    Our puppies are handled from birth with a method called Early Neurological Stimulation. Puppies come with limited AKC registration, with full registration available to approved homes. We require a rehoming and spay/neuter contract to be signed by all new owners. We provide lifetime breeder support and love staying in contact with all of our puppy owners!
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Golden Retriever puppies include dark golden and golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Mackenzie

Mackenzie has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Price

Puppy prices range from $2,000 - $2,500 and include a non-refundable deposit of $300.

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
