I'm the breeder behind Best Friend Corgi located in Post Falls, ID. We do our best to breed by primarily focusing on raising healthy, well behaved, affectionate, cuddly, and loyal best friends. We select temperments to carry out in future pups that will set them up to succeed and thrive in future homes. All our dogs are health tested and not at risk of DM, EIC, VWD1.
Q. & A. with Sage
Why did you start breeding?
I grew up breeding Blue Heelers. Corgis were a dream! When I finally was able to save up and start our business breeding Corgis, it was a full family effort. I spent a couple years forming and raising a strong Corgi bloodline based off looks, health, and personality. We couldn't be happier! Our stud is the most amazing dog we could have ever came across. Anyone who meets him falls in love!
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include red, sable, white and red, blue, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Rex, dad
Pembroke Welsh Corgi
About Rex
Rex is the best dog I've ever met. He is so loving and sweet! He loves to cuddle. When we go on walks he rides in the bottom of the stroller. He is a sweetheart!
Good health testing
Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC), von Willebrand Disease I (vWD I).
Sloan, mom
Pembroke Welsh Corgi
About Sloan
Sloan is a sweetheart! She is very mellow and loyal to her family. She has never shown any aggression and is so patient. She is always so thankful for everything and every ounce of love you give her. You can see thank you in her eyes whenever you look at her. (Not really, but it definitely seems that way). I've never met an animal be so thankful just to be alive. We are blessed to have her in our lives.
Penny, mom
Pembroke Welsh Corgi
About Penny
Penny is loving, energetic, and a bundle of happiness. She loves her family, and goes everywhere we go. She is loyal, and gentle. She has great manners everywhere she goes and learns every trick quickly...including coming up with some of her own tricks! She taught herself to smile at us when she needs extra lovings or is embarrassed. She does great with kids of all ages. Never would need to be on a leash if it was allowed everywhere. Comes running to save us or the kids if she ever hears distress. She is extremely sweet, loving, intelligent, loyal, protective, and gentle.

Sage was wonderful to work with. She provided updates and pictures of my fur baby and answered any questions I had. Talking to her felt like I have known her forever even though we just met. You can tell she treats all her babies like her own. When I picked up my baby her daughter told me to run my finger between his eyes down to his nose to get him to sleep. A year later I still do it and he closes his eyes and relaxes but touch his feet and he’s wide awake. He is also the first dog I have had that gives hugs. My baby Boomer is a year old now and he is such a joy. He has brought the puppy out of my 15 year old dog and he plays with the cats too. He’s my first corgi and I’m so glad I got him. He has a light colored spot on each of his sides and I tell him that’s where his wings were before he was sent for me. We love him so much but he’s definitely a mamas boy.

1 year and 8months ago I was blessed to come upon Best Friend Corgis. Sage was very responsive and communication was beyond easy. I picked up Pippin, formerly knows as Bandit from Rex and Pennys litter on January 10th 2023. Since then he has grown into the most handsome, fun, smart, loving, charismatic pup. He has an outgoing, goofy personality and is almost too friendly lol. Sage goes above and beyond to ensure the quality of every step in the process of breeding and providing the gift of fur babies to family’s. I would and do recommend Best Friend Corgis every chance I get and we couldn’t be more thankful❤️

Sage was so responsive throughout the whole process. She provided routine updates on our pup, answered questions we had, and sent pic updates when we asked. You can tell she really cares about cultivating a nurturing and loving environment for the dogs. Our Yeti was happy as a clam when we met him. We absolutely love our guy. He’s the sweetest and most gentle guy. He’s also smart and stubborn as hell. Our family is so lucky to have him!
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
