Betse Curtis's Poodles

Betse C.

Certified Breeder of Poodles

Meet the breeder

I'm the breeder behind Betse Curtis's Poodles located in Northampton, MA. I love Poodles! They are the most incredible breed. I am passionate about breeding healthy, beautiful Poodles with great temperaments with generations of testing. I am trying to do everything I can to make sure you bring a well-rounded puppy into your own home.

Q. & A. with Betse

  • Why did you start breeding?

I have wanted to breed for 20 years. Unfortunately, I got 2 females that both had health issues. They were great dogs & lived great lives (one was a fabulous therapy dog at a local hospital) but I could not breed them. I decided to get my next female from a reputable breeder that had done generations of health testing and could be a mentor. In 2016 I got a miniature poodle bitch from Kiyara Poodles.
  • What makes your program special?

I believe it begins with the pedigree of the female I purchased. It is a small, home-based breeding program. I am dedicated to breeding healthy puppies with sound temperaments. I am also dedicated to learning as much as possible about the breed standards and breeding to continually improve the line.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
