I'm the breeder behind Brymar Weimaraners located in Troy, TX. Currently, we have five dogs at home. All but one are now or have been top ten field dogs. One is the 2022 National Field Champion another is the 2023 National Walking Gun Dog Champion. My dogs have produced multiple high-level offspring that are some of the breeds best in the field, show ring, agility, tracking and I have a number of dogs that are highly competitive in AKC and American Field pointing dog field trials including a 2x National Amateur Field Champion. All that and they spend most of every day on my couch.
About Bryan
I have owned Weimaraners for 35 years and been breeding for about 30. My first Weim was a blue and while I loved her greatly, I learned quickly that if I had intentions of being considered as legitimate and competitive, I needed to adhere to the WCA code of ethics and our standard. I have been a WCA member for over 30 years.
What makes Bryan’s program special
I believe strongly that the Weimaraner is a hunting dog and as such must exhibit qualities indicative of a functional hunter. That said, I am one of very few breeders that truly breed for and compete in both field and show all while keeping the mental capability to be a companion in the home. Currently, I have three show champions that have been or still are in the top 10 field living in my home.

Bryan has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies. You'll also have the chance to share a bit about yourself and what you're looking for in a new companion. Together, you'll choose the puppy that's right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Puppy prices range from $1,500 - $2,500 and include a non-refundable deposit of $500.
“While I do maintain a waiting list, I do not take any deposits until puppies are born. Frankly if I need to ask for a deposit before that, then you probably are the home I want anyways.”
Bryan may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Bryan offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don’t hesitate to reach out to Bryan directly.
The best book about puppies is "The Art of Raising a Puppy" by the monks of New Skeete. I follow their methods fairly closely. All puppies get individual time and handling regularly. All are introduced to quail and given alone time in the field. Notes are taken relating to each puppies' individual personality and we work hard to match the right pup up with the right home. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Socialized with other animals, Introduced to people of different ages and appearances, Socialized with other dogs, Daily handling, Scent introduction, Socialized in new places, Socialized with children, Surface & tactile stimulation, Car rides, Various sounds, Potty Training, Crate Training, Puppy Culture , Puppy Manners, Human Interactions , Scent Introduction, Bird Introduction, Water Introduction, Socialized with Adult Dogs, Socialized with Other Animals, Early Neurological Stimulation, Sound Stimulation, Grooming Desensitization, Structures, e.g. Climbing, Toys, e.g. Ball, Various Surfaces , Exposure to livestock, and Birds.
I follow the WCA vaccination protocol as published on the WCA website. All pups have tails docked and dewclaws removed at 3-5 days. Puppies are wormed at least twice before leaving. I microchip all of my puppies prior to leaving. I also pay for two years of membership to the WCA.
We send our puppies home with Blanket with mom & littermates’ scent, Toys, Initial potty training, Puppy starter kit, Food & treats, Vet records, Microchip, and Registration.
Bryan offers options to help you easily get your new puppy home.
If you’re nearby, you can visit in person to pick up your pup. If you’re far away, you can travel by car or plane.
“I prefer not to fly puppies. I rarely have issues finding quality homes that are willing to come directly to my home to pick up. If folks want a good pup, they are usually willing to make the effort. ”
Work with a trusted flight nanny or transporter to get your puppy comfortably dropped off at an airport or meeting point close to home.
Why Bryan started breeding
I owned two finished show champions that matched up well and my mentor who had been in the breed for 50 plus years encouraged me to breed them. Since that time my goal has been a simple one: leave the breed better than I found it!
