I'm the breeder behind Cloud 9 Havanese located in Katy, TX. I love being a breeder. It's so fulfilling to see the positive effect that a beloved, furry companion can have on its family. I am a small-scale breeder, allowing me to give each of my puppies, dogs, and breedings the proper care and attention they each deserve. I am dedicated to providing happy, healthy, and well-socialized pups for others to welcome into their family. I love my pups and know you will love them, too!

About Lori
We are a Texas family that fell in love with the havanese breed when we adopted one from a shelter. How lucky were we. Amber helped "raise" my 3 boys for 14 years. We have been learning about the Havanese breed ever since. In our opinion, there is no better breed for a multitude of reasons.
What makes Lori’s program special
We get so excited waiting for our puppies to arrive. The weeks that they are with us, we are holding, loving, playing and nourishing them. They are sent to their new home happy, healthy, and very well socialized. They definitely come pre-Spoiled, and we love our time with them.

Getting a puppy from Lori
Lori has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies. You'll also have the chance to share a bit about yourself and what you're looking for in a new companion. Together, you'll choose the puppy that's right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices range from $2,500 - $3,000.
Contract and health guarantee
Lori may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Enrichment and socialization
I utilize the following enrichment methods: Socialized with other animals, Introduced to people of different ages and appearances, Socialized with other dogs, Daily handling, Scent introduction, Socialized in new places, Socialized with children, Surface & tactile stimulation, Car rides, and Various sounds.
Puppy health practices
All puppies are vaccinated and have a health clearance from our veterinarian. They are also given deworming at 2, 4, and 6 weeks.
Extras
We send our puppies home with Initial potty training, Toys, Food & treats, Vet records, Basic obedience & manners, Microchip, and Blanket with mom & littermates’ scent.
Bringing your puppy home
Lori offers options to help you easily get your new puppy home.
Pick up your puppy in Katy, TX or nearby
If you’re nearby, you can visit in person to pick up your pup. If you’re far away, you can travel by car or plane.
“We do not ship our puppies, so you must pick up the puppy or we would be glad to meet you at the airport if you would like to fly into Houston to pick up your puppy.”
Get your puppy dropped off to you
We’ll meet at a mutually convenient halfway point to drop off your puppy. Once your application is approved, we’ll coordinate the details for your pick-up day together.

Why Lori started breeding
We got our perfect girl, Baylie, from a breeder and after all health tests and temperament tests came back great, we decided we wanted to share the wonders of this breed with other families. Nothing makes us happier than seeing how happy these puppies make their new families!

Lori was screened for responsible practices and has been a member since 2021.
Lori’s program includes three colors
Lori’s Havanese puppies include white, red, and chocolate. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

Hip Dysplasia (Preliminary)
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (Preliminary)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
DNA Coat/Trait Panel, DNA Disease Panel, DNA Profile
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
