Q. & A. with Jaque
Why did you start breeding?
Back in 1986 Karen Churchill and Sandy Dornes partnered together to form a hobby kennel specializing in Boxers. This kennel was formed with the goal to better the breed and to produce the highest quality boxer for show. Karen Churchill ran the kennel independently after Sandy passed away, up until about two years ago when she begun the process of passing the kennel and it's well-known name to myself, Jaque Bennett and my family. We are close and personal friends of Karen's. My family and I have continued the same traditions and goals as originally set in place when Dornlea began. Our small hobby kennel is located in the Tri Cities, Washington.
What makes your program special?
We enjoy showing our dogs at various All Breed and Specialty shows across the country, and have had the good fortune to have bred and shown some noteworthy winners. With that said, our dogs remain first, and always, our friends.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
