Meet the breeder

I'm the breeder behind Down Home Doodles located in Oklahoma City, OK. We absolutely love Goldendoodles and think that everyone should have their own! That is why we are passionate about raising Goldendoodles and finding them a forever home that will love them as much as we do. Small home breeder looking to better my breed. I only breed health tested dogs with sound personalities.

Q. & A. with Susan

  • Why did you start breeding?

My family as I was growing up did lots of farming, so there was always some kind of baby to care for. When my children grew up I found myself needing something to care for, something that needed me. I loved the Golden Retriever but wasn't a fan of the shedding. I bought a Goldendoodle and just fell in love. I decided to look into what I needed to do to breed the proper way and here I am now!
  • What makes your program special?

My dogs are my family, I make sure they are healthy and happy. The puppies are raised underfoot, handled daily and do my best to prepare them for their forever homes and also try to educate the new owners on grooming, training.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Goldendoodle puppies include medium and standard sizes. Poodle puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Goldendoodle puppies include apricot, red, chocolate, black, and phantom. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
