I'm the breeder behind Dreamworks Havanese located in Maryville, MO. My breeding program starts with raising very healthy dogs. I stress the importance of proper socialization, breed to the AKC standard and start with beautiful, quality, healthy parents who have no health issues and superb personalities to pass on all these valuable traits to their puppies. I believe in the whole dog, not just parts. I think personality is the most important after health. Our puppies have it all! Looks, and personality. We don't play DNA roulette. Selective breeding takes time and we don't just accidently end up with good temperament and wonderful color genetics My dogs have been screened for health issues and are very good with children, other small pets, other dogs and other people; not just my family. If the parents are not confident, happy and secure their puppies may never be either.

Why did you start breeding?
I raised horses, goats and many farm animals. After having a pet Havanese, I decided to raise a litter and soon it became my passion.What makes your program special?
I strive for correct structure, temperament and health. Not just to throw two dogs together and sell puppies. They must represent everything good about the breed.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include cream, red, chocolate, black, red brindle, and red sable. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

Poppi is doing fantastic! She has adjusted well. She sleeps in her crate at the end of the bed. She sleeps 7 to 8 hours. The key was putting the crate at the end of the bed where she could see me. She drives fantastic in the car. She sits on my lap quietly when we go to restaurants. She loves all of her toys.. She has been socializing. I work in hospice we visit many senior living facilities. I let everybody hold her as well as children. I want to make sure she’s very socialized and friendly. Poppi really is the happiest little dog. Working with Cheryl was easy. She met me at the airport outside baggage claim couldn’t have been an easier process. Poppi traveled home on the airplane in her crate under the seat in front of me, she didn’t make a peep. She has been to the vet and had her third Parvo and distemper so she loves the park. I had to make her a pen outside to go potty in as she’s very distracted by leaves and branches. One day we may want to get a friend for Poppi. I would definitely go back to Dreamworks Havanese.

Love love our pup! I explained to Cheryl that I was a stroke survivor with some disabilities. She recommended one of the pups over others due to his personality. She sure chose the right one for me! We’ve had Basil just 10 days and he’s already integrated so well in our family, with both dogs and cats. He’s still a little intimidated by my 100-lb lab, but he’s getting braver every day! I can’t imagine life without him. He’s playful and the cutest goof, but when I need to rest he’s right beside me. We had Basil flown into Salt Lake City. Even with his flight and our long drive home, he never once complained. Cheryl made the process very easy, and I would highly recommend getting one of her pups.
