I'm the breeder behind Dry Canyon Goldens located in Logan, UT. As a small breeder of exquisite Golden Retriever puppies from health-tested European bloodlines, our focus is laying the foundation for happy, curious, and confident dogs you will find a joy to live with.
The main priorities in our dams & sires are temperament, health, and structural conformation.
Q. & A. with Jo
Why did you start breeding?
I've loved a variety of breeds in my life: Eng Springer Spaniels, Heelers, German Shorthaired Pointers, and a few mutts, but my heart was captured by the sheer beauty, regalness, and utter devotion of Golden Retrievers. I consider it a privilege to place a confident puppy in a well-vetted home where he/she will take hold of your heart and have a special place in your life as a beloved companion.
What makes your program special?
Our motto is "The Foundation Matters™." As a very small breeder, I can promise & ensure devoted & quality attention to our females & their puppies. The foundation we lay with our puppies provides a solid base for our puppy families to build on. I truly believe that the Foundation Matters! It will make it easier for you to train your puppy & your puppy will be more at ease with new situations.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Dry Canyon Goldens are absolutely the best Golden Retriever breeders! Every pup was raised with the Puppy Culture protocol from birth, and ours is the best behaved puppy we've had in over 20 years of owning Goldens.
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
