I'm the breeder behind Golden Breed German Shepherds located in Santa Fe, TX. At Golden German Shepherds, we offer top quality German Shepherds from our family to yours.
About Lynn
Our goal is to consistently produce German Shepherd dogs with soundness of temperament and structure through education, research, experience, and careful breeding. We may breed one litter per year, but often not that. We strive for quality, not quantity, and due to the quality and bloodlines of our dogs, along with the personal love and care that all puppies are raised within our home, we usually have a waiting list for litters.
What makes Lynn’s program special
Our dogs are literally our children and we only want what is best for them. That is why we will only place a puppy in a home that will continue our commitment to this breed. We like to think that each of our puppy owners is part of our extended family and encourage networking with us throughout the lifetime of their dog. We have many owners who have been a part of our family for 30 years.

Lynn may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. All of our puppies are raised inside until they are allowed to explore outside at 3 weeks old. At this point they start to interact with other people as well. We start potty training with pee pads at 4 weeks old to help them transition better into their new homes. We also do temperament testing to best match the puppy to a family for the best fit for puppy and family alike. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Potty Training and Household Desensitization.
All of our puppies are vet checked and will have their first shots and been wormed several times before going to their new homes.
Your puppy may come with extra benefits, like a small bag of food or a toy carrying the scent of their littermates. While Golden Breed German Shepherds hasn’t shared specifics yet, we encourage you to reach out directly to learn what thoughtful extras they may include to help your puppy transition comfortably into their new home.
Lynn offers options to help you easily get your new puppy home.
If you’re nearby, you can visit in person to pick up your pup. If you’re far away, you can travel by car or plane.
“We do not ship or fly our puppies. You must drive to us to pick up your new puppy in person. ”
Why Lynn started breeding
Our love for the German Shepherd dog began many years ago with childhood German Shepherds. Our first dog together was Golden Spike, the epitome of what every German Shepherd person seems to be looking for in their dog. He was a fearless, loyal, intelligent German Shepherd, with beauty and nobility that took your breath away. The golden spike is an integral part of the railroad's foundation, as was our Spike.
Lynn has been a member of Good Dog for over 5 years
Lynn was screened for responsible practices and has been a member since 2019.
