I'm the breeder behind Grand Meadow Newfoundlands located in Luana, IA. We are breeders who are striving to provide you with a quality puppy bred to the breed standard with a personality to match! Health, structure, and temperament are our top priorities. We want to make sure all of our dogs are healthy and well-rounded. It is important to us that we place each puppy in a home where they will thrive.

About Bobbi
I have been a lover of dogs since I can remember. On Saturday mornings as a child, you would find me watching Dogs101 instead of cartoons. I fell in love with the breed and have been researching and learning about them for years! I finally took the leap 4 years ago and got my own. I am honored to be able to breed for not only structure but health and temperament as well!
What makes Bobbi’s program special
We are a small program, which means less dogs, and a lot more time to spend with the puppies! We also raise our litters inside our house, so they are exposed to all kinds of things daily! Also, I work at a vet clinic so my dogs receive top-notch care. I go above and beyond for my dogs and my litters.

Getting a puppy from Bobbi
Bobbi has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies. You'll also have the chance to share a bit about yourself and what you're looking for in a new companion. Together, you'll choose the puppy that's right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices range from $2,500 - $4,500 and include a non-refundable deposit of $500.
“The price includes a health guarantee, AKC registration, routine vaccines, cardiologist heart check, regular deworming to just name a few things. We ask for a non refundable hold for your puppy to make sure buyer is serious about bringing a new puppy into their home.”
Contract and health guarantee
Bobbi may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. What's included
Enrichment and socialization
We are gearing up to dive into the Puppy Culture method! As of now, we do sounds, exposure, and puppies are handled by myself, husband, and children daily. We try to expose them to all sorts of things to make sure they are well rounded mentally and emotionally before going to their new home. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Puppy Culture , Socialized with Children, Household Desensitization, Socialized with Cats, Socialized with Adult Dogs, Sound Stimulation, Grooming Desensitization, Toys, e.g. Ball, Chew, e.g. Bone, Structures, e.g. Climbing, Outdoors (when Weather permits), and also have lots of friends and family who come over to handle the puppies and help out with the puppies daily. I do not take them to public places to expose them to people as they are not fully vaccinated until 16 weeks. .
Puppy health practices
My puppies are vet checked and have age-appropriate vaccines before leaving. The Newfoundland puppies will also see a cardiologist for heart checks before leaving. I deworm the puppies every 2 weeks until they leave as well.
Extras
Your puppy may come with extra benefits, like a small bag of food or a toy carrying the scent of their littermates. Bringing your puppy home

Pick up your puppy in Luana, IA or nearby
If you’re nearby, you can visit in person to pick up your pup. If you’re far away, you can travel by car or plane.
Get your puppy dropped off to you
Work with a trusted flight nanny or transporter to get your puppy comfortably dropped off at an airport or meeting point close to home.

Why Bobbi started breeding
Lots of careful thought and consideration went into it before I even found my dogs, but I have a passion for the breed and want to preserve the breed to its standard. We also love them because of how amazing they are with kids!

Bobbi was screened for responsible practices and has been a member since 2020.
Bobbi’s program includes four colors
Bobbi’s Newfoundland puppies include white and black, brown, and black. Bobbi’s Shih Tzu puppies are liver. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

Grand Meadow Newfoundlands reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Newfoundlands.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Cystinuria Type 1A, Newfoundland Type
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
