I'm the breeder behind Hancock House of Basset Hounds & Mini Dachshunds located in Farmerville, LA. Our Basset Hound pups are home-raised. We put a lot into socializing them so they can transition easily into their new lives. We treasure each puppy in our program and give them all the attention and care that we possibly can. Tammy has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies. You'll also have the chance to share a bit about yourself and what you're looking for in a new companion. Together, you'll choose the puppy that's right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Puppy prices range from $1,000 - $2,500 and include a non-refundable deposit of $200.
“The price includes the full registration, health guarantee, dewclaw removal, deworming, vet check and 1st round of vaccines. The deposit is to reserve your puppy. It is non refundable unless something happens to your puppy while in my care or if the vet finds a health defect in either case you will get your deposit back.”
Tammy may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Our puppies are well adjusted to a home environment and socialized with children and other dogs. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Introduced to people of different ages and appearances, Socialized with other dogs, Daily handling, Scent introduction, Socialized in new places, Socialized with children, Surface & tactile stimulation, Car rides, Various sounds, also have lots of friends and family who come over to handle the puppies and help out with the puppies daily. I do not take them to public places to expose them to people as they are not fully vaccinated until 16 weeks. , Noises , Strangers, Household Desensitization, Socialized with Adult Dogs, Socialized with Children, and Potty pads,.
All puppies are vaccinated and taken to the vet for a health check before going to their forever home.
We send our puppies home with Blanket with mom & littermates’ scent, Puppy starter kit, Initial potty training, Toys, Food & treats, Vet records, and Registration.
Tammy offers options to help you easily get your new puppy home.
If you’re nearby, you can visit in person to pick up your pup. If you’re far away, you can travel by car or plane.
“We don't ship puppies but families are welcome to come to our home to pick up your new fur baby. If timing is convenient for us we are willing to meet half way for those who maybe traveling a distance. I do charge a convenient fee if we travel over an hour for delivery. ”

Tammy’s Dachshund puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary by litter based on the parent dogs.
Tammy’s program includes eight colors
Tammy’s Basset Hound puppies are black brown and white. Tammy’s Dachshund puppies include piebald, black, dapple, chocolate, black and tan, chocolate and cream, and black and cream. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Tammy’s program has two coat types
Tammy’s Dachshund puppies include smooth and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
