I'm the breeder behind Happy Tails Shiba Inus located in Monett, MO. We focus on health, freedom, (we don’t keep our Shibas penned in kennels), and socialization (all our puppies spend their time with us/other dogs, not penned up). I work with each puppy to crate train and begin potty training within a week of their move to their new, forever home.

Getting a puppy from Hilary
Hilary has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies. You'll also have the chance to share a bit about yourself and what you're looking for in a new companion. Together, you'll choose the puppy that's right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices range from $900 - $1,200 and include a non-refundable deposit of $200.
“Price includes all vaccinations, health certification, health record, veterinarian examination, puppy health guarantee, and puppy. No hidden fees or surprises. It does not cover transportation fees. A $200 deposit is required to reserve the puppy of your choice.”
Contract and health guarantee
Hilary may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Hilary offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don’t hesitate to reach out to Hilary directly.
What's included
Enrichment and socialization
Our puppies are accustomed to our home, our children, and our other dogs. They have regular indoor/outdoor playtime and LOTS of interaction with me and my children. I work with each puppy to crate train and introduce potty training within a week of their move to their new, forever home. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Socialized with other animals, Introduced to people of different ages and appearances, Socialized with other dogs, Daily handling, Scent introduction, Socialized in new places, Socialized with children, Surface & tactile stimulation, Car rides, Various sounds, Human Interactions , Crate Training, and Potty Training.
Puppy health practices
Each puppy receives a veterinarian check up within a week of birth. They also receive two round of puppy vaccinations, regular anti wormer maintenance, and a second health examination and vet certification before moving to their new home.
Extras
We send our puppies home with Puppy starter kit, Initial potty training, Food & treats, Vet records, Registration, Blanket with mom & littermates’ scent, Toy with Littermates' Scent, Blanket with Littermates Scent, and Food sample.
Bringing your puppy home
Hilary offers options to help you easily get your new puppy home.
Pick up your puppy in Monett, MO or nearby
If you’re nearby, you can visit in person to pick up your pup. If you’re far away, you can travel by car or plane.
Get your puppy dropped off to you
Work with a trusted transporter to get your puppy comfortably dropped off at an airport or meeting point close to home.
